I think they will figure out the offense...but what made the heat so good was all 3 of those guys played elite defense. So even when they were figuring out how to play together they could lock in on that end and play transition basketball.
All 3 nets stars play no defense (especially harden and kyrie) and Jordan is completely shot and provides little rim protection at this point in his career.
Nets played much better with someone like Bruce Brown getting minutes...but with a healthy kyrie and harden where are the minutes for him?
It's against Cleveland in January. They have no reason to care much about this game, it's a meaningless exhibition where they are just coasting and treating it like its a pickup game. These two teams don't have the same goals, Cavs are treating this game like their championship
I get that, but we have entire careers of these guys and playoff resumes. Kyrie and Harden don't just start locking in during the playoffs. They get cooked because you jsut don't become a good defender when the playoffs hit. KD is the only one that has a history of player defense from that crew.
They are going to have to find a more mobile center then Jordan...he can't be playing 30 mins in the playoffs...he gets cooked on a nightly basis.
They are going to lock in once games actually matter to them. Doesn't mean they are going to be locking teams up but they are all capable of playing adequate defense. They might need to find a backup bigman though because I don't know how much you can rely on an undersized rookie forward that has to play center.
