Thanks. So two spaces left for next year and ideally want them to open back up teh year after. Seems ideal for two of the seniors to stay, I'd put my money on Davison and Reuvers since it's their normal 5th year and neither has NBA chances. Potter has pro potential, Trice/Ford will be 25 years old.

From what I have heard, there is almost no chance of Reuvers returning. Andersen is a pretty good bet though, with the time he missed from injury and the need at PG. Certainly a chance for Davison, IMO. Part of me holds out hopes for Ford, but pretty much agree with you there.

Also, I am almost certain that seniors returning do not count against the 13 scholarships. COVID and all.

The seniors don't count against the 13.

Gotta be a little careful though, because next year's team will have zero scholarship seniors, so gotta save some for the '22 class.

Next Aivar Kuusma/Titt Sokk :P (kidding, I had never heard of the kid before today)

Estonians are strange, they haven't produced an EL-level player in 25 years and they mostly like hockey, vodka and bragging about their e-government achievements. Tallinn is amazing though

Ref's letting absolutely everything go in this Rutgers game. Just turning into pure ugly overly physical basketball.

Probably favors Rutgers.

One would think both are similar. Low scoring, half court teams that play defense, right?

Man, Rutgers pounds the offensive boards and aggressively charge the basket while playing aggressive D. Badgers shoot a high % and move it around the perimeter playing position defense. Zero interest in offensive rebounds.

Never thought Trice would be bordering on Jordan Taylor/Koenig ice man on the shot clock down/big shot type of player.

Still better than Giannis territory.

Saw on Buckyville that Bowman is listed again in UW directory of students. Good news.

What a difference a year makes huh? Yea, who'd have thought at roughly early Jan last year the difference of him now. I guess it's that experience you gain by age 25 lol

Nice, easy win last night. The next 4 or 5 games are mostly winnable outside of Illinois. Need to handle those before a pretty tough stretch.

I was just looking at that last night too. Get all these next winnable games and get a 10-2 record built up then hopefully pull off a split on the Iowa, Ill, Mich type games and you should have a shot at the title. For sure I'd say they're dogs due to being a game behind already and I just think the other teams are a bit better, but just need to be alive for the last couple games and anything can happen like last year

In terms of the top 4 tier of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan - I think Wisconsin is a "better" team at winning games throughout the year but I expect to lose each time we play Illinois. Conversely, Iowa may even keep winning but I think the Badgers should be able to beat them. Michigan is just simply better all around.

Also was nice to see Davis and Wahl have great all-around games.

Next year, barring some of the seniors returning, will be a real slog. Wahl and Davis play excellent defense. Anderson will probably hang around and be a replacement-level depth guard. Hopefully Carlson can play basketball again as I think he's got a spine injury.

I know that there is hope between all of the other great names they are bringing in/have brought in, but we're going to go from a team where basically everyone can knock down a 3 at a good rate to a "play defense and pray a few shots go in" team unless they grab some transfers or guys step up really early.

But back to this year. We should enjoy this one.
