Ah lovely, back to the Trump discussions because we don’t want to be a mediocre team.

I guess we are all Neo-Nazis if we don’t want to support this group?

There are only two NBA players this season that have had double/doubles in every game since the start of the season. Hasn't happened for over 50 seasons, when Wilt Chamberlain and Nate Thurmond accomplished it on their way to HOF.

The two are Jokic and Sabonis.

If you need some storage idea's for the soft Euro big stereotype, I have a suggestion, if you can accept something from a mediocre thinker.

Funny...Sabonis is literally the perfect fit for our team right now. Cleans the glass really well so we could get out and run, defends well, has some range now, is not soft in any way shape or form unless you're just cranky.

But he'll be exposed because he's not GA or Durant. Just like every single other player that didn't get out of the conference... all terrible and exposed.

Sabonis probably isn't available. Raptors have a shot to make it far, trade Lowry, 3 first round picks and swaps for Beal. Could put them over the top.

Doubt he is too. Even Beal is just another building block. Does not put them over.

whats the next move to make for a superstar? Beal is probably the only star that might be available at the moment. Harden/Giannis are both gone. No one else on the horizon.

IIRC Trump supporters were blinded by delusion and kept telling everyone they won the election even though they had clearly lost.

Kind of like people see how mediocre this team is and continue to tell people that the Raptors can make it past the first round

They'll just say some vague **** like "we need a real center" with no actual names or how to get him.

I'm genuinely curious, just trying to have a civil discussion with the proponents for winning with what we have. Johnny Bball, maybe trade for Kyrie if he becomes disgruntled on the Nets?

Sign Kawhi and Ibaka in the off-season after the Clippers lose in the 1st or 2nd round just like they do every year.

You really think Kawhi is going to comeback here after leaving this team when it won a Championship. lol come on man, the only reason he signed a 2 year deal is so that he could get a 10 year vet max instead of a the 7-9.

I don't know. But also don't lack patience to wait and find out.

As for posts like we can get out of the first round Geddy, i'm not sure they can.

I also know it's taken more than two years for OKC to tank because they were too good. They didn't even tank! Even when they are trying they can't suck that much. ou guys keep equating trading players to tanking. Never taking account that you DO get players back. You think everyone wants our players when maybe they just don't. Maybe there isn't a good deal left.

14 teams in the NBA are in draft pick debt believe f I remember right. Ten teams might be out of next years draft. TEN. How many do you think are left that are competing that have picks to trade at all? Or if they do want to go further into debt to try and beat the Lakers/Clippers/Nets/Bucks. Can a single trade put anyone else over the top? Maybe they know that. And those 4 teams have NOTHING LEFT to trade. Or almost nothing. To win this year and beat them, you need to do the same.

Where are these picks going to come from? There's is ZERO consideration to any of that here. Oh... be patient and wait.. it will shake out? LOLOL ... yes know, that's been my entire point. At some point the direction will be much more clear to the other teams where they stand. Even if Team Suck, Ujiri and I don't think this team has a chance to get out of the first round, there is nothing getting done until everyone else figures it out. And even then, there is a point where the entire thing isn't possible anymore. Hence why the NBA is discussing banning pick swaps..

I'm just here because team suck always thinks sucking is so easy. Maybe for some, but in the NBA and taking back players and salaries, it's tough to suck that bad with a lack of injuries. Like I said, OKC showed you that with a fifty win team that tried and is still trying! And after beating the teams that are the dregs, you might as well just given up your cheering to actually lose and just realized you need to wait.

And if the fifth team (see my 2nd paragraph) decides to trade their entire future for say Lowry and Powell/Johnson/Baynes etc.... I'm pretty sure it's something we don't pass up. There are guys we can't even trade yet.

Losing and sucking is not the only way to build a team. Maybe have just an ounce of patience. But either way, we don't have to suck to rebuild. Ad if we do decide to rip this apart at the deadline, it's NEXT YEAR we would decide to suck. And t's this part that the loud folks in this thread have never understood.

So just to summarize. Be patient, wait and see approach until the season is done? The way its looking thats probably what will happen.

Wait, so people who are pining for a rebuild/tank lack patience?

The wait and see approach is basically just "Wait for another Kawhi trade" or "Masai will find a star with the 20th pick."

There is no actual plan. The Thunder are going to end up with a high pick all while being competitive and developing their young talent. They have an incredible warchest of picks and some vets they can still deal.

That's the whole point. Whether its the 1st pick or the 7th pick, not only are you getting increased draft assets youre developing your young players during the season instead of giving all your usage to vets.

Masai and company can choose who they receive in a trade. People are acting like he will have to take on high money vets at gun point to get a deal done. You can always make more moves down the road if you pick up another vet in a deal.

This is where patience that those in the TWO apparently lack comes in handy. You can hold off on trades for value sort of like how Presti and David Griffin did.

No people who are pining for a tanking aren't talking about simply a rebuild, they are talking about losing and tanking. Specifically you. Every single person here knows we have made a distinction between tanking and rebuilding for some time. Cheering every loss with no other solution or suggestion. You've had no viable plan form the start, including thinking we would finish bottom three or five.

You took nothing in consideration in my post and haven't thought about of these things in any depth from the start. Lol @ Masa can choose who they want when nobody's wanting to move any players at all or make any trade this early in a season! Look at any year and the trades made before the deadline. There are almost none. Yet you ignore it completely and trudge on with team suck cheering losing. And taking high money vets iis the best way to get back youth and picks. It's exactly what rebuilding is about, getting more youth/picks for taking on overpaid contracts. You denying that is just disingenuous, like always. And anything else makes tanking harder. So pick a lane. And FFS, please don't try and tell me you are all about this team being like Presti or Griffini when your entire plan was just to trade players to suck more. Or change the **** name.

So you watch your "favorite team" hoping they lose this year. And getting more pissed with every win because you got so far invested in a idea that was isn't plausible, and because you have zero patience , or can't understand small sample sizes But by all means, continue.

I've spelled out what I would like to be done in vivid detail countless times across multiple threads including this one. Plenty of those convos included you, but keep the blinders on and making up stuff.

You're trying to call me out on ignoring bringing on high priced vets for assets when I've been the one advocating that from the start.

Tanking is one specific aspect of a rebuild. Its about building up an asset basd which includes trades, free agency and the draft.

Yeah there is no movement in the NBA except for that massive league shifting 4 team deal. There definitely isn't any trade activity that will occur as a result or response to that.
