Wanting to be healthier (and live longer) and set a good example for your son is a pretty powerful motivator that Embiid has talked about pretty publicly.

Maybe Ben should knock up some model so he can be a father too.

Ok guys, why is Dwight Howard still the same guy even if he is a father to like 100 different childrens?

Yeah, this is what I was referring to, I don't know what the other poster thought I meant.

He has matured, but he is just washed up, his athleticism was his main strength, and it is not there anymore.

Haha obviously fatherhood doesn't automatically make you a better person and basketball player. But Embiid has talked openly in interviews (like the Ramona Shelbourne article) about how it's changed his priorities, focus, and outlook.

And yet he looks way more athletic than Biid

You guys wont buy into this.

Last season, when the team built a team that favors ben. Biid threw a tantrum.

This season, when management bow down to his demands (i.e. not hiring Lue and firing Ben’s enabler headcoach). This includes building a team that favors him. He has to step up to reciprocate.

And guess who’s not playing well this season..

Hmm

Los Angeles Lakers 18 games played the amount of games games 36 year old LeBron James has played in is 18. Lol

26-year-old Joel Embiid has missed four games so far on pace to miss 16 at this rate. Lol

I don’t care how you apologist try and spin it that is **** disgraceful.

On what planet is a team with a crowded front court and no credible shooters a team that favors Ben? I can buy that Embiid wasn't engaged partially because he was mad about the Jimmy situation and frustration about Brett's coaching but I don't buy it as a Ben vs. Embiid situation at all.

It's not about being an apologist, it's about maximizing our playoff form.
If anything, this speaks volumes about Embiid, it means he doesn't care about being MVP all that much. If he cared, he would demand to play. I fully support Embiid's decision to load manage, you should do the same too, it is for our best interest.

I understand what you’re saying but I could not disagree more. When You’re perfectly capable of playing you should march into the coaches office and say — no I demand to play there’s nothing wrong with me. I wanna win this game and help my teammates win this game. I actually do not understand any other way to approach it. He doesn’t need to sit out games when he’s not injured everybody gets a boo-boo once in a while.

I’d rather him fit and healthy for the playoffs

He’s a MVP/DPOY 28/11/3 caliber player of course you should prioritize him over a 14/8/8 All NBA Def WING with below average offense against great teams over their careers.

It’s bloody obvious lol.

We’re below average at the best of times away anyway

It’s always been Embiid or bust. He’s the reason we have a chance to contend. It’s definelty not Ben. Never has been never was. Fine option to be the 3rd best player (if you have an outside offensive stud) & I’ll leave it at that.

Look at our record with Embiid (well over 60% Elite Elite company)
Now look at our team record without him (lottery level, even with Simmons lead teams)

Heck you want the full reality look at draymond centric teams when he’s older. In my eyes Simmons will be a bigger version of that. But you can’t ever centralize an offense against a sub standard offensive player that doesn’t shoot it’s highly illogical.

Sorry dude you would be wrong. 2 time all conference basketball player in high school - played division two in college. I’m fairly confident I would destroy you in a game one on one.

My apologies if your not the relentlessly annoying fire Brett Brown guy.
