Nothing has changed since Pelle is in: open lanes for drives, offensive rebounds given up.
Marks needs to get this roster some NBA talent up front

That's what I said when we signed him lol. High motor, but hefouls way too much. He's not the solution as our backup 5.

DJ with all his athletic abilities was glued to film room his first four years. Pelle is just dumb plain simple. He can be above average just relying on his athleticism.

All things considered, we’re not doing bad in these non-Harden minutes.
Can’t keep them off the offensive glass though.

We are.
He literally just created two possessions off contests and deflections in the paint after picking up two fouls. We didn’t score on both.
He’s literally played 5 minutes lol

To be fair to Pelle, it’s his first real game action all year, and it’s against a really good team like Philly. I wasn’t expecting him to come in looking like a world-beater.

It doesn't matter what unit we have on the floor, our defense constantly keeps having breakdowns.

There was definitely a foul in there somewhere in that rugby sequence.

Shamet get a lot of hate (somewhat deserved) but that was a great hustle play right there. That's the sense of urgency we need right now.

If KD is sitting out due to possible infection, why is this game even being played?
The NBA is just making **** up as they go.
We all were right.
- KD has tested negative. The entire Nets staff and other employees has tested negative. The entire Nets roster has tested negative. The Raptors have also tested negative.
- Nets employee tests positive mid-game after first test during pre-game came back inconclusive, negative in the 2nd try and finally positive during the game for the 3rd one. 1pm ride results into false positives leading into nearly 7 hours later?
This is flawed testing. The league even pushed back start times to later hours to accommodate accurate testing for every team and it’s FAILING.
- KD was riding around with this employee without a mask three times.
So, he was irresponsible. However, the entire situation still is a huge issue with the league. KD shouldn’t have played at all, the game shouldn’t have been played if they felt like it www that serious or they let him continue to play. There’s no in between.
People keep forgetting that KD was only on the bench because he almost picked up 5 fouls. So, let’s assume he didn’t pick up any fouls and he’s on the floor when the NBA tells Sean Marks he cannot play anymore. What are we supposed to do?
Imagine this was a significant game for the standings or seeding and we get to a 4th quarter situation.
KD or any other NBA player could be booted off the floor because of a late resulted test while they have already physically touched up against everybody? That’s not fair in any league.
Exactly.
I don’t have a problem with the league’s policy for COVID, but I think it’s extremely unwise to let things go on as normal while a player or close associate is waiting for confirmation AFTER an inconclusive test.
A player should be isolated as soon as they receive news of it being inconclusive, and they should only be allowed to return after follow-up testing assures them that the earlier test was a false-positive.
A similar incident happened with Seth Curry a few weeks ago. He was sitting on the bench awaiting results. He only left after they told him about the positive result, which was completely foolish.
Seth’s incident sparked the same questions from everyone covering the Sixers, but this is the first time this has happened with a superstar. The league needs to change the rule ASAP, because it’s needlessly exposing players, coaches, and team personnel to COVID, even though the risk is small.
Why take such a risk with your multi-billion product? Doesn’t make sense to me.

I mean, we just don’t have good defenders, it’s not surprising. Our best defenders are Durant and Brown. Brown is an undersized SG, and Durant has never been a defensive anchor, just a good defensive piece in a strong defensive system next to better defensive players.
Otherwise, we have a bunch of average at best defenders.

I hope we’re looking at Derrick Rose before the trade happens. I don’t trust this bench guard rotation.
