He is far and away the top prospect of the last two games. Kuminga took the first two.

His little touch pass in the lane was so nice. I agree he's very fun to watch. I wanna see him show out more as a shooter (either by % or his shot diversity) before I give him a first round grade but the strength and IQ makes me think he could really thrive in the right team culture (maybe Dallas, Indy etc).

I was reading the Wizards forum not too long ago and one of their posters after the first game was deadset that Jalen Green was going to be a bust and how he'd be scared to take him in the 15-20 range. Other posters were like "I don't see what the hype is about"... mind you this was after one game  . No one knows what any of these guys will ultimately turn out to be. A picture of Tyreke Evans should be inserted every time someone makes an extreme statement on either end of the spectrum on these guys.

It's funny you say Dallas because he gives me Jalen Brunson vibes. Heady, looks like a respectable jumpshot, good passer, willing defender. One of those solid backup PGs every team needs.

Impressed with Jalen's developing ability to pick his spots and not force action as the game went on. Did a better job of reading the defense and conceding to move the rock is the look wasn't there. It's something he still needs work on but if/when added that layer will help him be a more efficient scorer going forward

There's one draft thread in the Wizards forum. What post #'s are you referring to?

As someone who most likely has the first posts abut Sharife Cooper in this forum, I'm not sure why Cooper has shot all the way up to the lottery in some mocks ahead of Nix, who was the higher-rated recruit and has acquitted himself well in the G league.

Lol yeah guilty because that's exactly who I was thinking of. Think Nix would be great in a Carlisle offense.

We're in that strange middle ground where people are bored of the guys who we've been talking about since the season started, but boards haven't yet solidified enough, so folks are going to put more risky players in that late lotto mix just to generate discussion.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?

Coop also had the bigger name coming in to begin with and a featured position on a more accessible platform. He's basically playing with house money in terms of he's just proving those high on him to be right. Nix is one of the afterthought talents on a startup experiment folks came in sketchy about to begin with on top of not being a tube darling.

OT question: how do y'all feel about the free throw rule they have in the G-League? Love it or hate it?

Yeah, being easier to watch & so much fun at the college level, definitely helps Cooper's hype...even if I'm personally skeptical about his shooting making enough progress for him to overcome his size; despite his vision & craftiness.

If the shooting doesn't come around is Coop still a quality backup? I'm catching boom bust vibes because he's so small. I'm jumping out the window and saying Nix has the higher floor if for no other reason than he won't be pushed around on either end of the floor.

Love it. Free throws have absolutely killed the continuity of NBA games and are the reason I prefer watching college. 1 FT vs 2 helps the game move better imo.

I like that they keep it the other way for the final 2 minutes too. Keeps the first 46 minutes flowing and the last 2 dramatic.

Except Cooper wasn't really on mock drafts going into the season; this time a year or two ago, thinking he'd be a one-and-done NBA player was sufficient to be high on him. He's played a few games where he hasn't even been better than the baseline expectations should've been, and Nix obviously doesn't have the shooting/size questions in addition to being a good bit younger.
