BOS/ORL
So this would happen with the expectations that AG would be healthy and return to normal.
Boston:
Out- Jaylen Brown, 2021 1st round pick and Tristan Thompson
In: Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic (used the TE to make up the difference)
Why: Gets 2 great fits (when healthy) and with them having 3 iso guys, this allows them to make more use of Kemba and also finally gives Boston a true inside presence.
Orlando:
Out: Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic
In: Jaylen Brown, 2021 1st round pick and Tristan Thompson
Why: Starts the youth movement and allows Isaac and Bamba to take over at their respective spots while getting a extra pick out of the deal. They also get a true #1 option and franchise player for the team who would fit right in next to Fultz. Lastly, they get a ton of cap room freed up. They can also be free to tank up the rest of the season and shoot for that higher pick.
Edit: Possible inclusion of Nesmith from Boston if this is too one sided.

Horrible for Boston. That pick makes it extra special horribler yet, especially since it should be a decent pick after the talent downgrade of the trade.

Re: BOS/ORL
Boston wouldnt trade Brown for those two straight up, let alone add value to the deal. This is very bad for Boston.

That pick would be in the late 20s. Boston would be the most complete team in the East by far if they made this deal. Vuc and AG fit that team like a glove. Size and inside offense along with defense. This might allow Kemba to not seem like such a bust as well, since it'd be just him and Tatum handling the ball/iso situations.
Keep in mind that I said this trade goes through only if AG is healthy. The combo of Vuc and healthy AG is better then Brown. Not by a MASSIVE amount, but still the combo is better.

Orlando doesn't reasonably have the assets to get Brown.

It's not salvageable. This isn't a video game where your overall team ranking is the average overall rating of your 5 starters. Brown is a different category of value from Vucevic and Gordon. In the NBA you should NEVER make this type of trade.

Right. This is not an analogue to PG13/Sabonis/Oladipo.
Even in a shooting-his-way-out-of-town situation, you don't want to trade the younger superior guy for inferior older ones.

No, theyre not. Sorry, but this is the premise you’ve built the entire trade on and its just false.

Boston says no. The Magic need to hope they can get 1st for Vuc and/or Gordon.

Are you suggesting that Vuc isn't worth a 1st? o.O Don't blame him that he got the Allstar nod over your boy.

All-Star caliber players are always worth firsts, even if they're late 20s or older, unless they play for Boston. Then one is supposed to pay to dump them (previously Hayward, now Kemba).
