We've got a golden opportunity to go into the break with the #1 seed. Got the reeling Rockets as our last game before the break, while Philly has Utah.
Kinda funny if Doc Rivers is the East head coach while being the #2 seed in a weak East lmao.

King - Harden, MVP enough said.
Prince - Nic/Brown. Those Spurs guys said it best. They did to much damage.
Jester - Robertson. I ( think ) didn't do Jester yet but he earned it tonight. He needs to step up on offense. He plays elite D but unplayable on the other half.

Claxton really showed off what makes him so intriguing as a player. Lob threat, rim runs, attacking slower bigs, switching onto guards effortlessly, blocking shots at the rim. That steal at the top of the key was so beautiful. I feel like he's not even 70% in shape after being off a year. Love what he brought to the table.

I know the narrative will screw harden but he should be on equal footing with Embiid as the MVP

Harden (or any Net) has zero chance at the MVP.
To me the MVP is a meaningless award and purely a promotional tool for the NBA. Forget the MVP even exists and go for finals MVP instead.

Claxton looking like a young Marcus Camby I love the effort he’s shown. He’s so versatile he can guard all positions, good pick and roll player, rolls to the rim, can post up and shoot the jump hook, shot blocking and rebounding. Once he gets in game shape he’ll be a problem, if he keeps this up I don’t think we need to go after any major big man in the buyout market especially someone who’ll take minutes away from Claxton. Bruce Brown is getting better every game I would love if he can shoot close to this every night. Harden makes it look easy, we badly missed Kyrie and it showed in our last game. Solid effort from Shamet and Tyler Johnson, Jordan played well too. Only negative player was Roberson, good game overall except for our collapse at the end of the 4th quarter. Nice bounce win.

Claxton is a beast ! He will be a very good player in this league no doubt about it. He needs to work on his strength and conditioning, he was gassed in the 2nd quarter. He also looks very lanky and his feet looks awkward sometimes which is why he almost got hurt a couple times. His defense looks amazing, he picked Patty Mills clean and all 3 of his blocks were timely, he had his paws all over this game in just 17 minutes. Excited about him, glad we didn't trade him .
Brown continued rolling, Kyrie and Harden did their usual even though they didn't shoot too great. That was a bad 4th quarter collapse, that should of never happened. They should of let the clock wine down and throw up a shot the last second to secure the win. But whatever we won anyway. We turned the ball over only 5 times, we are progressing . Now lets beat Rockets and go into the break comfortably.

Another point of interest......Joe Harris only had 9 points. Shamet and TJ had a total of 10. So it goes to show how critical Nic and Bruce's contributions were.
Another unsung hero was Deandre, he had a lot of hustle plays and 13 boards to go along with those intangibles.

Pop's was willing to live mid range jumpers by design. Problem is MVP and Kyrie made Brown look like Hulk and Nic taking league by storm with flush plays.
It's going to be vital to get KD sooner. Joe not getting open looks anymore. If you start taking notice teams glue their weaker defender to Harris and make them run. Nash on the other hand adjusted and made Joe set screens for MVP and force a switch. With KD back Joe will get back to assassin he is.
We going to need Shamet and TJ make consistent jumpers and take it to the rim every now and than. That's where we miss Din badly. With Din we will be unstoppable force. Din will get back to be 6th man he is and keep other teams shooked.

I wish we can have Rodi back after waivers. MVP can make him look all world imo.

Poor coaching. I don't expect Nash to outcoach popovich but the number of errors that 2 minutes were egregious.
* 8-0 run to cut it to a 1 possesion game with no timeouts
* They trapped Harden/Kyrie at half court for 3-4 straight minutes with 0 adjustment
* Allowed Walker/Murry clean looks going under screens in the zone with a big lead
* No change with poetl catching at 6 feet for a short hook
He went up 12 points late and counted his chickens before they hatched. Which is unacceptable given the late losses we have had this year because we did just that (Wiz game obv. comes to mind).
We know the staff had the right counter to the traps, because we saw it 100 times in OT. Flash someone to the middle/top of the key where the void is and drive for an easy short shot or kick for the corner three. Yeah Kyrie missed a bunny, but we shouldnt have even needed a bucket there.

Great Win. glad we could escape with the W because the guys really deserved it
Harden was unreal. 30/15/15 with 0 turnovers and clutch 4 QTR buckets. He did it so quietly. i was like man Harden hasnt scored as much and then graphic shows 24 points. thats the sign of elite scoring. you dont even realize it when they drop huge games cause its so normalized.
Kyrie didnt have his best game or shooting night, but he did look great from 3 which had tailed off the last few weeks. so good to see those falling. we know his finishing/mid range will be automatic so 1 fluke game there is whatever. He hit a 3 to start overtime. he seems to have a knack for that. I always felt liek a 3 t start OT was a big psychological advantage
Claxton was excellent. You can tell he feels comfortable and has a swagger. would love to see him next to DJ for some minutes. when KD comes back our switching will be unheard of while still having a pair of 7 footers. Glad he isnt just chucking threes either. If he can beef up to be a better screener that would be nasty, its really all he lacks on offense and he is still ok at that. He brings energy we missed.
Roberson is a fail. even if his D is back to elite levels he isnt just a 0 on offense he is a massive negative. He may have some value for 1 possession situation kinda stuff but beyond that not thanks. were is shumpert? he can actually give you a positive 6 minutes shift.
Already commented on Nash. he should take notes from pop on his game. Pop used his Timeouts flawlessly to disrupt our runs. includng a pair of timeouts 2 minutes apart. Nash eats his while our lead dwindies and we could have easily lost. He also seems to refuse to ever get on the officials. Fun coaching moment. watching beck hammond scream at their eruo stretch 4 guy to move a few feet from the mid wing to corner off ball. minute details not just reenforced in practice but orchestrated in game. i would have loved hammond as this teams head coach. we make like 0 in game adjustments.
DJ quietly had a really solid game. We need a rim running/potecting big even if its just DJ insurance.
Shamet and TJ clanked some open ones. we could have burried them early if those fell. hopefully just a blip, those two have really come on lately.
Rockets before the break. Hopefully a harden statement game. I think 2 points 25 assists 20 rebounds with his only points a game winner sounds about right

Early in the season, when we were still just a collection of great pieces but had not yet come together as a TEAM, there's no way we comeback and not only win the game, but dominate the OT right after blowing a 10 points lead in regulation. Back then we would have folded in OT just like we did down the stretch.
But now this is a TEAM in every sense of the word, which happens to have GREAT PLAYERS too, so instead of being demoralized we immediately regrouped in OT and dropped the hammer on SA, starting with Kyrie's 3 after he missed that layup in regulation, the one he makes 99 out of 100 times. That 3 instantly sent a message.

What turned it around in overtime was a simple counter to them double teaming us out near halfcourt. if we had done that anytime in the 4th we win. The team earned a win, the coach deserved an L. luckily he got extra time to stay after school and fix his mistake
