Phi in: Lowry, Nowell
Out: Bradley, Maxie, Scott, Green
Tor in: Rubio, Culver, Maxey, Bradley
Out: Lowry, Anunoby
Min in: Green, Scott, Anunoby
Out: Rubio, Culver, Nowell
Phili gets their PG, and a nice potential shooter off the bench.
Toronto moves on from Lowry, adds prospects in Maxey, Culver, and Bradley that fill positions of need for them. While parting with OG may seem a stretch (and it is) 1. he is about to get expensive 2. He's had some injury issues. 3. Powell has been playing amazing.
Lowry
Curry
Harris
Simmons
Embiid
Tor
Rubio, Maxey
Van Fleet, Davis
Powell, Culver
Siakim, Boucher
Baynes, Bradley
Mn
DLo, JMac
Beasley, Edwards
Anunoby, Layman
Vanderbilt, Mcdaniels
Towns, Reid
Since they seem committed to this core, this helps balance roster and add another Beasley level player to lineup. If blowing it up isn't an option, this might be. If people feel Edwards needs to start, maybe Beasley for Gordon to fill it out.

As a follow up I would offer Edwards and Juancho to Hawks for Collins and Snell.
DLo
Beasley
Anunoby
Collins
Towns
That should be able to compete in the west

Toronto isn't going to give up the 2 best players in the deal to get 4 worse players back.

Well they are in an unusual spot. Are they going to keep paying Lowry 30/yr to stay? He's ufa after this season. Maybe they are idk. Or maybe picks have to enter the equation to make them feel better about the two player moves. Maybee Edwards has to head there and a pick or two comes back this way.

Hopefully the Wolves jump in and make some moves early in the month and not wait for those final day earth movers like last season.

He talked about how playing for something is much better than not playing for anything. He believes they have something to play for even if it isn't a finals trip.
Despite what Vucevic said, the Magic have lost four games in a row (currently the 4th worst record in the NBA).
I believe I posted that on Sunday the 28th. They didn't have another game until Monday night. But I know you posted yours on March 2nd, Tuesday. Vuc mentioned the past two weeks of play as I echo'd his words in my post from the radio that day. In that prior two weeks the Magic were 4-3 and I believe that's the positivity he was carrying at the time. Sure they lost since on Monday to make it 4 in a row, and again on Wed to make it 5. So in three weeks time they will have went 4-5.

Obviously their would probably be a couple draft picks coming in as well. Include Mcdaniels too, why not?
Here's the thing, Anunoby is about to get spendy, they already have Van Fleet and Siakim getting paid, Powell has been playing great. Anunoby, while showing flashes, still isn't the type of player they need to pair with their roster given the expense. Hell offer Reid too for all I care.
Here's the thing, if you are going to commit to keeping Kat and trying to win, all the young guys and even draft picks are going to have to go. Reid is a nice prospect, but he's a backup on our roster, and we need a starting lineup before we worry about a backup one.
Anunoby and Collins could be had for pretty reasonable trade offers, but you will have to pay to keep them. However, if keeping Kat and competing in the west with Kat and DLo is your goal, that's the price.

OG is locked up for 4 years on a team friendly deal.
Sending bench fodder isnt a sweetener.

I mean, yeah. But not sure why the Magic would want our trash.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
I listened to Dunc’d On yesterday, and Eric Pincus was on. He predicted that MIN would trade Malik Beasley. MIN isn’t trading KAT, and they need the potential upside that Edwards might bring. Beasley is the only other piece that could provide incentive for MIN to make the changes they need. He also mentioned that he plays the same position as Edwards, and that it’s hard to think of him as a defensive pairing for DLo.
I think there is a lot of truth in this. I would mention an alternative though. I expect Ricky Rubio to get traded at the deadline. If part of the return is expiring, Rosas would get some flexibility under the lux, and I do not believe Taylor if going to pay lux taxes.
Still, we may see both players dealt. Trading Malik would suck. He’s hitting threes and maybe more importantly, wants to be here. But he wants to be a starter, and the defense is a real concern. My hope is that he doesn’t get traded at the deadline, and he shows some defensive chops that secures his position, and we roll with D’Lo, Malik, Edwards, ???, Towns.
The Wolves need a lot of help. They really need their youth to develop, to generate value internally. But that takes time, and people are demanding change, NOW, so Rosas may try a job-saving trade that includes Malik.

Shams says wolves gonna go after Aaron Gordon
Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota has shown interest in power forwards around the league, including Atlanta’s John Collins and Orlando’s Aaron Gordon, sources said. Both players have significant asking prices in the marketplace. The Timberwolves had substantive conversations with the Magic on Gordon prior to his severe ankle sprain last month, sources said, and those talks are expected to resume as he nears his return to the floor.

Another move in the wrong direction. Collins would at least be overpaid but useful.

If we can't get both Gordon and Fournier.. We get Gordon then trade Rubio for Thad Young or Taurean Prince.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
Their only real tradeable assets are kat and ant. You can include beasley if the team doesnt care about the off court stuff. Wolves dont even have a pick to dangle in 2 stacked drafts unless a deal is struck for the player post draft.
Tough to see a deal that brings in a game changer.

Gordon makes 18 million
Juancho and Malik for AG works both teams and keeps them both under the luxury tax
Malik, Juancho, Culver, Okogie, Layman, Davis are all the assets the wolves can move

Collins would be a free agent. No point trading for him when he wants the max
At least AG has two years remaining on his deal

Point for you, I didn't realize that he had signed the extension.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
