Was just thinking same thing

He’s knocked back an extension already

Bulls fans hate his defence but that can be covered by Ben & Joel

I just saw an over the hill, Dwight Howard post him up 15 feet from the basket and shake free from him for an uncontested dunk. Markkanen would be less than useless for us in a playoff game. He'd be targeted every possession.

If they can teach Tobi to defend then Marrkkanen can learn as well

All I know is that he’s got a lot more potential than OPJ

Use the first round picks wisely. You can’t using the picks for sideway upgrades.

Once guys like Beal becomes available, what you dont want to happen is you are out of the mix because you’ve used it for markkanen.

I wasn’t suggesting a 1st for Lauri

Simply interested in him as he will be available

Anyway, guys like Beal or LaVine don’t win you titles unless they are 3rd options and they will command a fortune in the off season

Put Simmons on the Wizards or Bulls in place of those guys & they win a truckload more games with the same roster

Same with Hawks and Young

Simmons knows how to win

They don’t

I wasnt implying trading Ben.

Be patient and once they ask for a trade, you wouldnt need to trade Simmons to get them. It will just be a bid war with picks and a young player or two similar to the package Nets unloaded

Agreed his defense is bad. But also factor in the Bulls have Patrick Williams and Wendell Carter around Lauri. The Sixers would have Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

Maybe it’s Ujiri is playing 4D chess with us and trying to get us a first rounder so they’ll have enough assets to go for a guy like Beal once hes available 8-)

Doc has got Tobi to be a better player (something I did not think would happen) Ben is more confident and playing better, Embiid is playing like the MVP, Mattise is shooting and hitting 3's (yes small sample size). So getting Markkanen to play defense would be a snap. The only problem would be finding time on Doc's couch because everyone else is taking up space.

How much is pick #28 worth in the 2021 NBA draft?

1.) tony parker was drafted 28th overall 8-)
2.) team with a lottery pick can use the 28th pick to trade up.
3.) I get your point but teams just likes to accumulate a number of picks. Look at the Jrue Holiday deal or the Harden deal. Or ask OKC or Pelicans.

“You want player A? Ok give me atleast 3 first rounders.”

Remember at the heat of the moment during the Harden deal it’s all about start offering “x number of picks” or no deal. Thus Nets and Sixers were racing to get picks. I believe Sixers even called the Kings to give them a pick (reddit insider).

OK but if I am the opposing GM I will say you want to give me x picks which more than likely will be in the 20 + range all with guaranteed contracts for who or to move up to where ? Give me your first round picks 4, 6, and 8 years in the future and now we can talk.

Nobody is willing to give you that much picks far into the future. The most unrealistic realistic scenario is like what the Nets gave up.

Scott, Korkmaz, Ferguson, and a 1st to MIN for Hernangomez and Culver

With the reasoning Culver is far more talented than anyone you draft at 27 this year. Less control, but much higher ceiling. Also Juancho is better than Scott.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
