I agree, he is in his prime for sure, unsure if it will be an extended prime like Lebrons, but 17 sure is knocking it out of the park as of late.

Lonzo would be great here- finally a big guard and no longer a small score 1st dude. He’s basically become a 2 guard at this point but either way pairing him and smart together would be sweet.

All I'm saying is if the Pels are afraid of Lonzo's impending free-agency, maybe there's a chance the Pels would take Kemba and 1st rounders.

But if the Pels plan on keeping Lonzo long term then Kemba to the Pelicans will not happen.

There's really a chance another team will give Lonzo an offer sheet worth 20-25m per year.

Are the Pels ready for that scenario?

That's something to think about.

But again if the Pels dont want to be stuck paying Lonzo who is a great fit 20-25 mil per year. Why would Kemba who is a horrible fit on 36 and 37 mil for the two seasons after this one a better scenario?

Because Kemba only has 2 years left.

If you add Bledsoe's 18.1m next season and Lonzo's potential 80-100m new contract, the Pels would save more money in the long run.

And again, if the Pels are willing to pay Lonzo 20-25m per year, Kemba to the Pels will never happen.

That's why only reason I said that a Kemba to the Pels trade would only be possible if the Pels don't want to give Lonzo big money.

Ainge on the radio talked about trading for guys in contracts years- particularly this one with so many teams with space and not as many quality players. Basically alluding to good players getting paid like great ones, ok ones being paid like very good ones.

That's a very obvious coaching problem.

I stopped watching the Kings-Hawks game when Atlanta got a big lead.

The Hawks are bad defensively, but the Kings are worse!

I think Jaylen would be a better 3rd option than Ingram, but as a top 2 guy? I’d almost definitely lean Ingram, I don’t know if he will ever be the top guy on a contender, but I think he will be at least a solid second guy. Can basically do everything offensively, though he is getting to the line less and less. I feel like that’s a trend for a lot of guys though, or so it seems.

After being coached by Thibs and mentored by both KG and Butler, I'm worried that's just who he is defensively. He has the physical profile but lacks the mindset and effort, which are harder to teach. Maybe he gets tired of losing and matures eventually?

I'll still take him on my team though lol. But how many non-defensive-minded bigs have led a team to a title? Shaq, Hakeem, Russell, Kareem were all above average to great on that end.
