Awful. Wishing Shawn the best.
He never got enough respect for his productivity with the Mavs. I watched him play from the day he arrived in Dallas. He lived in the same neighborhood, so I would frequently see him at the grocery store. Acting like just a normal (but incredibly tall) guy.
He averaged around 3 blocks per game for the Mavs. And got his free throw % up into the 80s at the end of his career. He always seemed like he had a decent set shot. I wonder if he could have shot the 3 in the new area.
He always seemed to have a good life away from basketball and a great family.

People ran all over this guy when he played, and admittedly, I did too. It’s easy to forget to forget they’re human just like everyone else. Prayers up for him, that’s just horrible news

I think the expectations on him were too high because he was the second pick of the draft. He always played hard and had a good attitude. He was always hustling on the defensive end. He had a decent shooting touch, but the Mavs didn’t use him on offense.
I wasn’t found of trading Jim Jackson, Cassel, Gatling, and others for Bradley, Robert Pack, and others, but Bradley had a solid career in Dallas.

Big men now don't deal with the criticism he dealt Falls with. Granted, there's many players his height, but Tacko is loved, and is a good example. I wish him the best.
