outdated narrative. They could always use more shooting just as any team could, but since the COVID 5 and KP returned, the shooting has been fine. Richardson is the only primary rotation player not shooting well from 3.

Dallas was 10th last season at 36.7 3PT%.
They are 17th this year at 36.3 3PT%.
They are 9th this year in offensive rating at 113.8.
They were 1st last year in offensive rating at 115.9.

Outdated or not, Curry still seems to have been a hit in my opinion. And something that should be taken into context. This hit is despite KP having a career year in efficiency and 3P%.

Since 2/1, they have had a 39.3% (tied for 6th) and an 118.6 (4th).

Just like some like to take the recent Atlanta play once they got healthy and had a new coach as more representative of the team going forward, others might want to talk about what Dallas did once healthier (2/1 was arbitrary pick, someone can suggest a better split for that healthy).

If I were critiquing Dallas, it wouldn't have been based off injuries hurting their offense. Now, that the defense is still weak...

Great points and I did not look at the recent data like you did

I could see looking back to when KP got back in January as well. Maybe a few games later when he started playing well. Similar to Collins last season when he got back from his suspension.

Sticking with Dallas, would anyone else laugh if Dallas traded for Noel?

Seems unlikely for a number of reasons beyond just the bad history.

From that article:

Boston, multiple sources confirmed, has offered two first-round picks. No other teams on the board have yet to reach that offer level. It’s not known yet what types of protections are attached to those talks but there is an assumption there will be some, if not significant, protections on the first-rounders.

Additionally, the framework involves Evan Fournier going to Boston, with the Celtics sending a player, the two picks, and using their Traded Player Exception from the Gordon Hayward trade.

When the rumor falls through and we get a quote from Ainge saying they were close but couldn't budge from top 20 protection to lotto protection >>>

Yeah, let's not pretend we haven't been done the road before.

My good friends in Coca Cola land are going to get mad at me, but with Gallo playing so well and seemingly plenty of demand, I would still be trading John Collins even with this winning streak.

Its Matt Moore.

Edit: Also didn't even read before but yeah that's way too much for Boston to send out in terms of value.

Read on Twitter

The Action Network is quoted, and the article includes this piece of garbage.
Boston’s Traded Player Exception is not eligible to be dealt along with another player, so sources suggest the framework would include multiple deals as part of a greater framework.

Is the Action Network legitimate? Are their sources?

He's not credible and he's Nate Duncan levels of arrogant with absolutely nothing to justify it. Just a very unpleasant follow.

OKC continues to win. Its pretty much impossible for them to tank. I wonder if they decide to buy and sell in the next few days.

Just some random uninformed ramblings/ideas/thoughts going into the deadline...

-John Collins gets traded and we're mildly underwhelmed with the return

-Boston doesn't really do anything (Maybe a buy low guy like Bjelica?)

-The Nets somehow turn Spencer Dinwiddie's bird rights into something valuable now

-Cleveland probably ends up buying out Andre Drummond unless they flip him straight up for Otto Porter Jr. or something very neutral like that

-The Pistons and Timberwolves are weirdly active buyers at the deadline

-The Rockets trade both Eric Gordon and Victor Oladipo yet surprisingly get a better return for Gordon

-I see both Los Angeles teams getting creative in ways we're not predicting here on the board

-Kyle Lowry is the big name, with some Victor Oladipo, Lauri Markkanen, Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier, etc. mixed in, but the rest are a bunch of Torrey Craig to Pho/Kabengele to Sac type of moves

-Orlando finally... starts (at least)... the fire sale and chooses a direction (rebuild in a good draft year). They will probably slow burn it into the 2021 off-season, but they will likely start with Fournier and Gordon

One of the local guys here says the Kings are looking for a first for Bagley.

I just don't see anyone paying that much. His contract is too pricey.
