Still enough time for Ariza to be traded

Re: Free Agency, Rumors, Thoughts in General 2.0
Not that anyone should give anything of value for Melli, but:
He's an expiring making 4.1mill, could be useful for salary throw in.
Nicolò Melli doesn’t want to stay in New Orleans where he is often out of rotations, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

this is the kind of inconsequential pickup Charlotte historically makes at the deadline lolSmirk wrote:Not that anyone should give anything of value for Melli, but:Nicolò Melli doesn’t want to stay in New Orleans where he is often out of rotations, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

His salary actually squeezes into our cap space.
investigate Adam Silver

I think Gordon will be moved. Same for Oladipo.Mike lorenzo wrote:Gordon or Collins seem unattainable ... I hope I'm wrong. No rumors about Porter, could he be a cover? if they could choose one of Fournier / Drummond / Porter ... who would I choose

If Oladipo isn't moved it is absolute asset mismanagement. And I like most of Houston's moves. He is going somewhere, even if it is to Dallas for 2nds.

I've always liked Melli, think he could be a useful rotation piece a lot of places.
I bought a boat.

Melli is a decent defender and rebounder. He is just bad offensively which is what he was brought over to do. His shot fell off a cliff.

Windhorst reporting that Lowry is making his free agency decision this week. So if he's traded he's re-signing with that team and if he stays he's re-signing with Raptors. If this is true it means Toronto will get him where he wants to go and means the return might be a bit less than his talent warrants.

So if he's traded it's because Toronto is doing him a solid and sending him to a team he has agreed to resign with? Not going to entertain any of the many teams with cap space this summer? If I'm understanding that correctly I don't buy it.

I buy it. Sounds like he's only really entertaining Miami and Philly and if they agree to match his salary demands to get him for this playoff run too why wouldn't he do this?

I’ll say this though, a “no-brained” doesn’t necessarily mean 4 1st round picks or anything like that. No-brained could encompass a lot of different package, fit, and value types in return. More than anything, it’s probably a sign that we’re not really looking to move Myles, but he could be had for things that really help us.

if Lakers think Drummond is coming, how aggressive do they get with a Harrell trade? Probably not gonna get much for him, but he's 10 mill in salary and THT is a decent get for a team as value

I’d be absolutely shocked if this wasn’t just due diligence, but it’s out there.

Shams says teams are calling on Lauri and Chicago is listening. This is a place I'd like Dallas to sniff around.

Okay, so starting the bid at:
Danny Green, Tyrese Maxey, '21 1st, 23 1st (one time, say lotto protected) for Brogdan.

I dont think it gets it done. With Brogdan being under contract long term, youre probably gonna have to overpay by a decent amount to get Indy to move him. He's a guy who's right below all-star level (might end up getting there) on a bargain contract. Indy making him available is odd to me, it would be wayyy more odd for them to trade him relatively cheaply.

Again, historically, Indiana hasn’t acquired other teams future draft picks, so I think you’d have to reroute those picks with maybe Green or Lamb (or both combined) for a more immediate type player.

I wouldn’t say that listening to offers (which we’ve historically done on everybody) is the same as “making him available”. One hints that we might be willing to move them for a haul (or just want to value our roster), while the other hints that we are absolutely moving them as soon as a relatively acceptable offer presents itself.
