Nobody else in the NBA gets away with this but here u are babying him. He's about to set a trend now, now watch the next coming entitled spoiled stars just take off weeks whenever they feel like it. A bunch of overpaid cry babies in the NBA. He might need the whole season off the way he just takes games off.
According to the United states, Congress, State and federal law, YES that is "tf" how it is supposed to be. I have unlimited PTO at my job, i can take whatever i want off. but if i didnt, and i had a family or mental health reason i could leave work and my employer could not fire me AND they would still have to pay me AND i could sue them if they tried to pressure me not to take that time or penalized me for it.
Taking time for family or mental health isnt "being spoiled". thats taking care of yourself, which everyone should do and congress in 1993 recognized everyone should do.
Why should he donate game checks for time that his team excused him for that he is entitled to? He does enough donating on his own anyway.
Yes that same leader. That same leader also CARRIED a whole franchise for YEARS even after being exhausted and still didn't take no days off for "rest" of "family matters". Yes that very same leader. A guy that you can TRUST to be there when needed and you can trust to actually get his butt to a basketball game and do his job that he is paid millions for. Yes that same very leader that doesn't cry about the media being "pawns" and looking down on everybody like he is so above the flat earth. Yes that same leader, put some respect on his body.
So Kyrie is a "spoiled crybaby" because he takes off for family matters. but harden is not "spoiled" for tanking games, not playing and going to strip clubs maskelss to force a trade? and he isnt spoiled because... he helped your team win games currently? would you feel he is "spoiled" if he forced his way from the nets?
the only "spoiled crybabies" is in here are ones crying that grown men dont ignore their families to help win a meaningless game.
Again, we had this argument already with the family and medical leave act blah blah blah. Some ppl can't afford to do that and some ppl don't want to deal with the annoyance that comes with it. Why can't u get that thru your rich spoiled head. Not everybody was born with a silver spoon like u and Kyrie.
IF you are a US citizen, you are entitled that time. if you let your employer bully you or you dont know how to obtain it, that isnt kyrie's problem. If you arent valuable enough at your job that isnt kyrie's problem. "silver spoon" i grew with a single parent mom who was 19 when she had me working 3 waitressing jobs so she could put food on the table for us in our broken down studio apartment in guttenberg. And you know what my hard ass working mom has to say about kyrie? "i wish more young people would take time to take care of their mental health. maybe there would be less ugliness if they did?
Your paid to do your job, like everybody else in this world , period. Even Jordan said "you're paid to play 82 games". Make NBA players great again. Like I said nobody else in the NBA gets away with this BS not even Lebron. And here you are putting your cape on for what? because he's your favorite player on your favorite team? You have to keep it real with yourself. IDC who he is, when I see BS I call it out point blank. We're going to be in the middle of the playoffs on a championship run and watch him leave for "family matters" . And your going to be here capping for him again.
If you are a contracted or salaried employement you are not paid to do a job. you are bad to be employed and adhere to the terms in your contract. Kyrie isnt a 15/hour clerk at the supermarket who is paid for the days/hours he works. Kyrie is entitled full pay regardless of how many games he misses, as long as those absenses are excused, which they are.
There is nothing to "get away with". if a player has family/healthy/personal matter and has excused time off, they are entitled to it.
the players are employees, they are not slaves. they have rights and entitlements under US/Canadian labor laws and the CBA. Like who are you really made at... Kyrie or is this just projecting your unhappiness that you have an unflexible job that doesnt care about your family, mental health and may even pressure you to not take the PTO/leave you are entitled to?
