Well I never said anything about high calibre players, I said I'd rather trade for young tangible assets as opposed to late 1st round picks. Tangible is the key word there because I prefer to know to a certain degree what we're getting in said assets. An example would be any player who's currently playing in the nba even if it's only this season, it gives you an idea of their strengths, weaknesses, upside, etc at this level. Whereas with a draft pick, especially later in the draft, it's a crapshoot because you have no idea how they'll perform in the nba.
Ya so give me some examples of players your talking about (actual names)
the player your going to ask for in exchange for a few month rental of the player your giving up
remember to ask yourself if you would give that player up if you were the opposite team
Dude there's nothing earth shattering here, essentially some of the names which have been rumoured... Herro, Achiuwa, THT, Kuzma, etc
Not earth shattering by any means
But there is a possibility (bigger probability) we don't get any of those players (Achiuwa aside) - Massai is most likely not Turning down Herro (Pat is most likely not giving up Herro)
All I say is that I dont care that much if i dont got get any of those offensive players (sure it would be nice to get Herro) but at the end of the day ... Ill take whatever I can and I still come out a winner because Lowry or Powell are extremely unlikely to sign in a few months
The fact that you dont get an offensive player back is not a big deal...
....Kuzma for example is paid pretty high - maybe I want the cap space more for FA/other trades
...Herro for example is 40% FG & 30% 3pg%
... Achiuwa has no offence
... THT is a good one in my opinion
