I'd much rather have Bjelica if we're dealing with the Kings.

I don't know what it would take but he is still only 22, 2nd pick of the 2018 draft and he has size and skills. Has some 20 & 10 nights. Sacramento doesn't have a good track record of developing guys and having alot of unhappy campers. Feel bad for their fans.

Kind of reminds me how people were down on both Oladipo & Sabonis before the Pacers got them. He might develop and be a guy to take on Embiid, other big guys the Pacers struggle with.

Maybe worth the risk for some package of like protected FRP, SRP's, Lamb, Aaron Holiday, Goga... Could be a homerun in a couple years buying on the low.

I wouldn’t bet that he’ll be better than Goga, and especially not at his massive salary and then qualifying offer to keep him. I don’t know that Bagley can figure out nba defense.

What's your sense of this? You have what seems to be a very solid core of

Turner
Brogdon
Sabonis
Levert

and they appear to fit a timeline together. Personally, I would love to have Brogdon on the Knicks and think you should get at least a first round pick for him.

My sense of moves? I think a reporter or two are over-reacting to the fact that Pritchard/Pacers management are simply doing their job and due diligence. We’ve always historically listened to everything, as it feeds the rest of what we can do. We may not be willing to move our guys, but listening is what pops up the information and phone calls that get us TJ Warren for free, too. But, it’s been a rough go with the injuries, too, and we have players that have value on the market, so we’re also fun to talk about.

I don’t expect a major move to happen. Something involving Doug McDermott, Jeremy Lamb, or Aaron Holiday wouldn’t shock me, though.

I wouldn't want Bagely based on he seems to have a fragile build and is injured too much. I also don't like hearing that his dad was chirping about his usage ect. by Sacramento. Don't need that distraction. Also being paid over 8 mil.

Chicago got a lot better with swapping Carter and picks for Vucevic. Though, that roster is ill fitting now. Lauri and Vucevic doesn’t fit, and Thad was feasting as a 5 man, so he loses a lot of that role with Vucevic
In town now.

Thad and Vuc seem to fit well as a 4 and 5.

Kind of. Thad is losing a bit of a step defensively and has been really playing purely the 5 for much of this season, which suited him well. I think it’ll workout, but will need some constant maintenance and caution.

Houston just got Avery Bradley + Kelly Olynyk + a draft pick swap in return for Oladipo. As a reminder, we got Caris LeVert.

Not so bad...

I'm not crazy happy that he basically gave up on the team while injured then ended up where he wanted to go anyways.

Still, Levert seems like he will be a solid addition. I'm very happy with his attitude so far, and his clutch play against the Pistons the other day was pretty great.

Second round of the playoffs looks far away. With the roster we have I expected a small trade. I don't see how Doug will re-sign and McConnell should look for more money or a spot on a clear contender.

All this focus on winning games now to make the playoffs, makes the future more difficult to fill in with good young players.
I wish Pritchard would have a better plan for the future, that he would learn from the too late on good smallballs 4s decisions.

Reports that Orlando might buyout Otto Porter Jr., and we now have an open roster spot, and our full MLE left (pro-rated), and about $4.2m under the luxury tax. :dontknow:

That Dipo return to Houston really makes the wait on LeVert not look so bad. The team's schedule really eases up here so we ought to make a run. We're only 2 games out of hosting a playoff series.

Question is did Pacers over value their players pushing themselves out of any possible trades or did teams under value Pacers players available ? I would have loved to trade Lamb and A Holiday for a reasonable return. I just don’t see any future for them here.

Pacers announced today that Warren is out for the year. He's had surgery. That news tells me we need Lamb for the rest of this season.

Aaron probably didn't bring an offer we considered fair.
