I like Chris Duarte in the end of 1st / early 2nd range. Excellent shooter, defends and plays hard. He is 23 but in that range ill take the value he brings now.

Obviously I would want a player who could add more value on both ends of the floor. We already have Isaac in this role. Hence Barnes is not the player I want for Orlando. That doesn’t mean I am low on him as an NBA prospect just as I am not low on Isaac (minus the injuries).

Barnes gets in trouble when he tries to do more and FSU starts getting in trouble with turnovers. It looks like they want to focus on their roles a bit more tonight and it’s working so far.

He just had an excellent 2nd half. Maybe not so much on the box score, but his impact was huge. Doing the exact things that make you fall in love with him as an NBA player. Switching all 5 positions, disrupting shots/passing lanes, and impacting the game hugely with his playmaking.

Barnes is not a box score player. Anyone who scouts his box scores might as well ignore him as a prospect. You need to scout him with your eyes.

I only watched a few minutes, but Barnes had a couple great assists on consecutive plays. He also brings a lot of vocal energy that kind of reminds me of Noah when he played at Florida

This was a classic big stage, big performance game for Barnes which makes you sit back and say:

“gee, if that kid ever found a jump shot ...”

I 100% guarantee some ultra ego GM/Coach is going to watch this game and say “I can teach this guy to shoot” but I can’t teach a 6’2 kid to guard 5 positions the way he does! So someone in the #6-10 range will bite.

Read on Twitter

Houston finally snaps their skid and picks up win No. 12.

I think it's possible the Magic could end up worse than them, especially if the Magic unload multiple veterans this week.

Prepare for the Kemba and Vuc show.

It has been a weird tournament all around this year. I don't make much of the top 10 guys struggling. But playing well is probably a good sign. We should be considering Mobley more seriously. He's a great prospect. The only reason we don't talk about him is because we have an all-star center on the team, the front office mismanaged their last big man prospect, and now have a log jam at center and power forward. But you could easily talk me into him being one of the 3 best, if not best, player in the draft.

you know what, you are right. I think if all of us didn't have Vuc and JI plus the PTSD with Bamba, we probably rank Mobley as 1A or 1B with Cade.

And if we get him , proclaim him as the next Superstar Center of the Magic lol

I dont think this draft has any obvious tier 1 stars. Starting to look this way.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

My fear is that this organization is going to find some way of screwing up the development of whoever the Magic choose to draft later in the summer. If anything, it's possible to say that the next player the Magic draft anyway looks to be another complimentary piece to the puzzle. I don't see that alpha player who's personality that says "he means business" or has the look and attitdue to take the team on his back to win games as possible. It's truly hard to say who that player standout could be right now.

If you based it on the NCAAT, then that has to be Cade. The guy demands the ball when they are down and isnt afraid to take the last/important shot during crunch time. TBF the reason I haven't seen Suggs do that is because their team never seems to be down, hence no need for his heroics lol

But any wing rookie, esp with the imminent departure of Evan and AG will never have to worry about taking too much shots next season.

Yep....Cade's the consensus #1 and he'd be a perfect fit on our (projected) roster. There's at least 2 or 3 others in the top 5 that would drop right in, but Cade's the prize.

You don’t draft for need. You draft BPA.

I still believe Cade is #1.

After that ... we now have a clear slate on the roster with 4 options at 4 positions who could step in and be great.

Suggs, Green, Mobley or Kuminga.

No wrong answers anymore.

in a lucky world, we have #1 & #5 pick this summer.

Fultz/Cade/Okeke/Isaac/Mobley?
