You really shouldn't need that
What we do now is, we have live podcasts through Podbean (which does cost money to live stream), and it automatically records it all, which I download. That recorder would be useful if you're planning on doing a mobile podcast, where you just take it out to someone to interview them or whatever, then take it back home to process. If you're just gonna be recording from one place, download Audacity and record on that. It's not as intuitive as Audition, but it's completely free and it works just fine (and it's what I use to edit the episodes after recording).
All you need is a mic, a webcam if you want video, and a computer with Audacity.

Is Anchor any good. I think Michael Moore uses that and talks it up quite a bit as a free site with free service too. I don't know what part of that is true or false though. As I become an elderly curmudgeon, I think it would be cool to have a podcast where I could speak my unfiltered mind ... and, of course, review and critique BnO's podcast. Especially if it's on the Mets. Lord knows what he'll be putting out there.
