Just when they cut it to 6 a contagious case of brain lock takes over.

KP is having a monster game. He is doing everything he can to win this game. Just nobody else has anything going.

Maxi's defense is also a huge difference maker. But THJ is really bad tonight and so is Jalen. Let's see the finish.

I wouldn't call any game with a .506 TS% a monster game. He always had trouble being efficient as a first option. The same was true in New York.
As he isn't a distributor, the rest of the offense is suffering too.
At least he's doing something, I love seeing him be active on the offensive board.

As good as KP has been or is, this is still all Doncic team and no one can convince me otherwise. What a bad loss this is. And possibly without both Luka and KP tomorrow, it could become even worse.

I have never understood this NBA and "around the NBA" obsession with whose team it is in the first place. In order to succeed Mavs need both on the floor, in good shape, sharing/moving the ball as a team, and getting whatever upgrades are available or possible salary-wise and in terms of fit down the road.

Every f'n time we came close, we killed our momentum with those dumb plays and mistakes.
We badly need Luka tomorrow. And I hope KP doesn't need to rest, we've got 2 days between NOP and OKC.

And that was exactly my point. Mavs need Luka to get the team running.

Trey Burke is horrible... his play as a ball handler is just flat out bad and he sucks so bad on D.
On the bright side, Josh Green gave some good minutes tonight.
Hard to win though without THJ, Brunson, or JRIch stepping up.... just a bad game all around

Luka, KP and some more pieces/upgrades down the road. Btw, this "easy schedule" is not that easy at all. They are teams fighting for a play-in spot and a position not to be in a play-in spot. Like Indiana, Knicks, Pels, etc.

If this game made Cuban choose "continuity" over improvement at the trade deadline then he has some re-evaluating to do. His team needs better personnel.

Which is why the team is bad. Those Cavaliers' Lebron teams never won when the whole focus was him. At least last year you had Curry who could find shots for KP, himself, WCS, DFS, and everyone else. This current team only has one actual PG. So if Luka is out, the whole team falls apart. Last year, they beat the first place Bucks without Luka, but this year they wouldn't even be close if Luka is out.

**** shooting night. Whrn was the last time we won when shooting was bad? KP only guy over 20 points. I gave up watching when they were down like 15 and just had tv on when watching stuff on the comp. Every time luka is not playing i feel so dissapointed. Better luck next game

Watching Josh Richardson running the point is one of the worst experiences in my basketball-related life.

Problem with this schedule are many back2backs. We were normally losing second part of them, now with this new decision of resting Luka in first game, we might be losing both.

I would not resign him unless he accept a big discount...we can find a lot of better players in FA this Summer.
Good all around player but he doesn't do nothing great, same DFS.

Agreed, right now even MLE is questionable for him, Philly traded Butler for him, that team needed someone like Morey to take charge like air to breath.
Letting JRich go and reaching reasonable extension for THJ will give the team sizable cap space to sign a good player.
