Never thought I'd ever seen a team break the league this bad. Sure as hell never thought it would be the Brooklyn Nets. What a time to be alive.

This league has a real issue with parity
How tf do fans of Minny, Orlando, Detroit, etc watch this ****?
KD does it again, gets to play with another MVP winner in his prime (3 now), and multiple other stars and elite shooters
You think the NBA gives af about Minny, Orlando, or Detroit?
The NBA truly only cares about major cities, as they draw the most fans internationally.
I don’t even think it’s about big cities. No body going to games anyway. NBA is like a traveling circus—-where the stars go they sell out. Lebron in Cleveland sold merc....Luka could be in minny and sell merc.... at this point the nba ok with having 2 or 3 teams that legit can win.
Lakers, clippers and Nets...
But if Lebron was in Cleveland or if Kawhi was in Toronto—-and if Giannis could shoot...

BRK really putting me in a position to have to root for LAL. Sigh.
Not really sure why the league even keeps going. Just call the season and let LAL / BRK play a 7 game series. More interested in the draft than the season at this point.

If somehow the Lakers make it to the Finals and face the Nets. It’s going to be like a real life version of Space Jam. The Nets are the Monstars

In a hypothetical series with the 6ers this is a steady stream of bigs to throw at Embiid. Winning that series will now be a matter of having Embiid being able to abuse all 4 bigs
Just to reiterate why signings like these are a big deal. Matchup options are huge to winning chips.

Hope I dont have to explain this again but the Embiid example was made to illustrate the matchup riches Nets possess. It's not specifically about any one guy individually
Everyone else also has frontcourt weaknesses of some sort whether owing to immobility or depth. Nets are now casually spotting 3 perimeter stars and no overly detrimental front court weaknesses. Those two things (depth and frontcourt weaknesses) were supposed to be what kept them within sight of the competition as a top heavy team. Now they're just a heavy team

Re: Aldridge to the nets
NBA "We're promoting better parity between NBA steams"
*Nets* Yea we'll take Irvin, KD, Harden, Griffin, LMA, Jordan **Calls GWS** "Hey like you guys don't seem to be doing good can we borrow Curry for the rest of the season? we'll return him to you after the playoffs no problem"
As dirty as this feels, if the Lakers make it out of the west I'd even cheer for them and Lebron to take down this abomination.

You can't blame him; it's probably his last opportunity to get a ring after a long successful career. The amount of talent on that roster now is just comical at this point though. Legit 16-0 potential

Re: Aldridge to the nets
I forgot the Sean Marks connection. Probably made for more comfortable / familiar conversations. LMA's a bit of an enigmatic personality, introverted, not easy to know, but a total pro. Some kind of familiarity likely helped. What may not have helped Heat's cause is their losing streak despite all the public signalling of interest. Funny how timing works out. Maybe the timing finally works out for LMA now.

People were crapping on Blake Griffin and then once he signs with the Nets, their team becomes unstoppable. lol. I highly doubt LMA really even plays that much...Either that or Griffin gets a seat. It's just insurance and LMA obviously doesn't care.

That just isn't the case anymore. The buyout market 100% addresses super teams weaknesses.
I mean good for the nets and the Lakers but it's just It's starting to make the NBA so much less competitive and so much less watchable.
Dude why is it good for us lol? We haven't even acquired anyone.
