The Bucks would have been a better landing spot for LMA, IMO.

They already have a solid foundation in place (Top 10 offense, Top 10 defense) so they can afford to indulge in Aldridge for his experience and vet savvy.

Phoeniex would have been a great landing spot, too.

#1

Space the floor for Giannis and potential go to guy.

It speaks more of how LMA is not that confident with himself and just a free ride for a championship

I just hope they use Drummond more and Gasol less when they face us.

Let Gasol play off the bench and let him wrestle out with D12. Old school Kane vs Undertaker battle.

Pretty doubtful either will be on the team next time we play them.

Issue for the Nets is they have the best roster on paper but since when has Irving, Harden, and Durant ever been on the court together?

Seth Curry is not playable deep in the playoffs. We should have traded Jrich for Kevin Porter Jr

Such a value find by the wiz.

Gafford is one of the hidden gems in the league. He’s like what Christian wood was back when we had Okafor. Or what Gobert was when Jazz had Kanter. Or what Jokic was when Nuggets had Nurkic.

Bulls acquired Vuc, this lead Gafford to be available. Wiz just accepts him with open arms.

You don't think the Lakers are going to the NBA finals ?
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I don't. I expect them to fall rapidly in the standings until Lebron and AD come back.

They will have a tough path to the finals.

Curry has been barely playable in the regular season, but I give Morey a pass on the trade. I think Covid has really taken it out of Curry. He looked really solid at the start of the year, and now is just a completely different player. It’s not even that he’s missing shots: it’s like he doesn’t even have the elevation and energy to get shots up.

He’s never had the elevation to get his shots up against longer defenders. And he’ll never be able to not be a liable once stars hunts him down the stretch. We can rotate and do zone to counter but he still weakens the entire link of defense while not being that good of a scorer like say Isaiah Thomas to compensate for it.

He’s not a bad player. He’s just not playable on most end game situations against good teams in the playoffs. And this is where Hill comes into the picture.

But my point is, we probably could have just get ourselves a placeholder shooter (wayne ellington?) then trade Jrich for someone like KPJ in the middle of the season.

He played out of his mind early on in the year. He is still playing well for me the issue isn't the percentages because they are still good the issue is since Embiid has been out he hasn't stepped up at all. He seems to be content to be a limited player/specialist

As an FYI the first two months of the year he had a TS percentage of .729 in December and .662 in Janurary criticizing him for not maintaining that level is asinine because it was never going to happen. He is shooting .589 for the month which is respectable. He is definitely playable in the playoffs.

Jrich has been awful for the Mavs so I don't really get it from that angle either. The Curry trade overall was a huge win for us

Ok that is very possible. But a byproduct of the Lakers falling far in the standings is that LBJ really is the MVP !

people seem to think that every team has 5 guys who cannot be take advantage of on defense on the floor at all times.

Good defenses are able to hide poor defenders. Has been a thing forever lol. people keep thinking back to the Celtics series and go welp JJ was food so no more shooters...when the real problem was that Marco and Ersan were just as bad...if not worse. Dario wasn't a lock down guy either and Cov was his normal often asleep at the wheel self. The folowing year JJ was fine...if not sneaky good because we hid him on Joe Harris and Danny Green. Now obviously Curry is shorter and somehow slower than JJ so yeah its going to be harder but his gravity on offense is too important to go "oh he's unplayable" IMO.

TLDR: You are going to have bad defenders on deck

I'm not sure what are you expecting from him. He's been solid. His stats are exactly what you expect from him.
His contract is great, but we clearly need an upgrade on that SG spot. This playoffs it will be George Hill mostly because of his defence.
Next year it better be some proven player (Malcolm Brogdon fits greatly).
