I know what I'm getting with Teague (not much), With Knight I am inclined to think there is some upside there with age and well...we haven't seen much of him lately. Defintleyy could be worse than Teague, but the he could also potentially be better.

I think with Teague, knowing the system and being a better defender (or at least I remember him being a decent defender) adds more value. I am not so sure we are looking for an upside play as much as a reliable play.

Rivers is probably your upside play. Hope things click from 3 and you have an off the street version of Brogdan with his shoot3/take it to the rim shot selection.

Yep, I agree very fair points. I did want Rivers over Teague as well.

Eric Nehm's article had a line implying that maybe the Covid layoff did Teague in for good. I feel like that's a line he got from someone else (other team scout, etc.).

That's really the big question here. Can Bud restart him into a guy who can fill those Augustin (and now Forbes minutes) more effectively. If you look at Teague's numbers for March, they weren't bad. Give him six weeks of Suki, and we might have something.

Was Teague starting to play better in the last month or two? He looked pretty good against us last week. Made a few big threes and drove the ball to the rim a few times. Am I too hopeful that he can be George Hill #2 for us?

Nice, joining the Bucks right in stride, after having worked through the kinks earlier in the season with Boston ;)

Just checked out Nehm's latest and agree this part stands out:

With the Celtics this season, Teague rarely beat defenders off the bounce and took a career-low 25 percent of his shots at the rim. Teague is shooting well (63 percent) when he gets to the rim, but his game has gotten out of balance taking too many of his shots in the mid-range. Several environmental factors — coaching philosophy, offensive role, and teammates on the floor — play into a player’s shot distribution, but the lack of shot attempts at the rim suggests Teague may have lost a step during his time away from an NBA floor.

That may not be a concern if Teague, as Budenholzer often describes, can get the Bucks “organized” on offense and continue to knock down 46 percent of his 3-point attempts, but Teague has taken just 56 3-pointers this season. Playing with Giannis Antetokounmpo means Teague should get open shots like this:

The entire Celtics offense seems weirdly predicated on the midrange. I wouldn't necessarily hold that against Teague. Bud will keep him behind the 3-point line.

OR he needs three months to get into the swing and will hit peak performance with us in July.

Seems like the Bucks would be plenty happy if Teague can hit 3's at a good clip while being a floor general to get the team “organized” on offense.

That and his size at 6'3 is quite a contrast with Augustin.

If Teague can be a solid defender for us too then maybe he takes some of Forbes' minutes even aside from filling the hole Augustin left.

nice addition. but i am focused on Giannis, Middleton, Jrue. their playoffs performance will decide our success at least 90%. Teague maybe 1%. that is if he fit great.

Jeff Teague wingspan - 6'7"
DJA wingpang - 6'3"
Forbes Wingspan - 6'5"
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Getting all three of our big 3 to perform well in the same game has been a problem of late. We've got to fix that.

2 of 3 will win most games and a first round playoff series. But that's it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Rewatch Teague from his last game against the Bucks. Dude was looking spry.

Jeff Teague, like fellow recent Bucks signing PJ Tucker, is someone who I feel like I've been thinking "he seems like he could help a team" about for the past few decades.

And two games before that he played 39 minutes and scored 26 points on 83% shooting (100% from deep).

He had a stretch of full court press defense that was finals level intensity.

He'll give us 15 good minutes and might even close some games.

Teague/Holiday backcourt will be defensively tough

So post-deadline and post-buyouts, are the Bucks about to extend Holiday, or is that not happening?

I assume there is a time when the window would close to sign an extension this season as well. Anyone know when that is?

Come playoff time do we think we close with Giannis/Midds/Tucker/Jrue and Teague? No way right DDV has to close? Honestly what is our closing lineup in crunchtime?
