Game 48: Bucks at Blazers - 4/2/21 - 9:00 - BSWI/NBATV
For those not familiar, Sinclair owns the Fox sports regional networks and they sold the naming rights to Bally's. So now it's Bally's Sports Wisconsin. The time/score graphics may change (they did for the Brewers) but that's it.
We whipped Portland in February but C.J. and Nurkic were both out.
Portland has won 4 in a row but the Bucks are 3.5 point favorites.
Tough game but it would be nice to get the first of a back to back (Kings on Saturday).

Reminded by LOB that Norm Powell is now on the Blazers so this is an automatic L.

Portland has some great shooters, will be interesting if the team coaches itself to defend the three after Bud's initial gameplan is to give them every three they want.

Toss up game. Would not be shocked if Portland wins. The Dame/Jrue matchup is box office.

Dame 12-14 from 3. All open shots as our D struggles to keep up at the perimeter.
Bucks still win by 6.

Didn't happen last game and they won, but Bucks need to dial in from the beginning. They also need to remain dialed in for the duration.

What happens with the classic Fox Sports theme?

The Blazers deal for Powell was low key awesome. Yeah, he'll be a FA, but they'll just pay him, and they're willing to go into the tax. They're quietly a contender now.

I'm not sure, but is Bally Sports some kind of weird extension of Bally Total Fitness? Their logos look very similar but Bally Total Fitness looks like it's gone under.

Ballys is in reference to the casino company

It's all about the gamification. Yeah, you heard me.
Our agreements with Sinclair provide for a long-term strategic partnership for up to 20 years that combines our vertically integrated, proprietary sports betting technology and expansive market access footprint with Sinclair’s premier portfolio of local broadcast stations and live regional sports networks (“RSNs”), STIRR streaming service, its popular Tennis Channel, and digital and over-the-air television network Stadium. Bally’s and Sinclair will partner to create unrivaled sports gamification content on a national scale, positioning Bally’s as a leading omni-channel gaming company with physical casinos and online sports betting and iGaming solutions united under a single brand.
Hope the Bucks gamify Portland to the tune of about 120-104.

Yup. Bally's owns 12 casinos and sports books. Ironically they don't own Bally's in Las Vegas (that's owned by Caesars).
As has been talked about Sinclair still owns all the regional sports networks. This is simply a naming rights deal. With a change of graphics and theme music.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
