Gasol has been awesome tonight. Aside from the missed threes.

Man there's gotta be someone in the G League who can make an open three.

No team has ever looked worse at making 3s, the one thing anyone who has watched LeBron would say he needs.

Damn only 4 players didn't shoot 0% from 3, the 4th was Kuz who shot 11%. Shot creation is also an issue. Schroder also cant be worth more than 20m because he needs a back up point guard for his below average playmaking to not be a hindrance

What do you guys think Danny Green's expiring contract and the 28th pick could have netted the Lakers at the deadline?

Was thinking that. Last year's team would be looking better than this year's. Should have just run it back and made some midseason trades and got some buyouts.

Really don't want to play the Clippers or Nuggets in round 1. Not overly concerned about the Suns, though.

No last years team would've been dead in the water if AD missed half the year. Running that squad back would've been malpractice for Palinka. Dwight, Javale, Bradley and somehow even Rondo have all been worse this season than last.

You're out of your damn mind if you think last years team was better. That's such a wild claim based on absolutely nothing other than the record. Honestly, I believe had Lebron not got his ankle clipped they would've already caught Utah for the best record.

This is not even mathematically possible. Lakers have lost 5 games since LeBron got hurt, they are 6.5 games behind Utah.

Prefer their bbiq but it's a good point. It's now april and they havent had an impact on their various teams. Bradley and Rondo have been injured all season so it might come back to the same health crisis if they were on the Lakers. Because if we're being real availability not talent has been the Lakers problem

edit also funny is 3 of those guys have been traded from their new teams. In other words 3 of the 2020 Lakers starters and rotation players from last year couldnt cut it on teams trying to make the playoffs, would have been 4 if Danny Green was traded for Lowry. Lebron/AD really are all that matter

Probably for the best Drummond is out till Lebron/AD are almost back. In their absence Lakers looked like they were actually going to use him as a high usage post player  , the worst role to have him if you're trying to be a winning team. Probably been saved from themselves, need to avoid playing the same setup he had on the Pistons/Cavs

He's just going to miss 1-2 games. His toenail got ripped off, not a real serious injury

Ideally want Lakers to play the Suns in the first round and Clippers/Nuggets play each other round 1 :D

I wonder how much of the Drummond stuff is just politics (we don't want Clippers/Nets to get him since he would be a better fit for them so we will promise him a big role) and how much the coaching stuff actually thinks he helps them win more than Gasol

Lakers are 0.5 games out of the 6th seed. They play the Kings tonight and Portland plays the Bucks. Not sure who has the tie breaker, but a loss by the Lakers and win by the Blazers drops the Lakers to 6th.
