We will sign someone. By April 8th at least, to meet the league requirements of having 14 active players to standard deals.

Expect us to unearth some big, and sign them to a 10 day deal soon. I find Vincent Poirier to be of intrigue.

there’s been some noise about Toronto or Philly being in on him, we’d have to be quick

It's totally the Heat's fault Justise is currently shooting less than 35% FG and 13% from 3. No way Memphis is picking up that team option lol

It’s a shame we couldn’t have got Daniel Theis when Boston dumped him in Chicago. He’d be perfect for us as a backup 5. He’s an UFA this offseason and would be someone we should keep an eye on.

I get the “it’s a wash” jokes, but the guy is a solid NBA 5 who is good defensively and has an improving 3pt stroke. We could definitely do worse.

Maybe that's been the long term plan for Justise and the Heat.

Reading through that Im already a big fan of Vic’s mindset and he fits in perfectly with this group. I hope we dont dic around this summer and just extend the guy, he could be another Dragic in terms of a guy who has spent time elsewhere but produces his best years in Miami

Likely waiting to see what happens with Marc Gasol. We've heard the Dedmon option but he's still rehabbing with a little over 20 games left? unrealistic.

I fully expect Miami to keep Ariza in the starting 5 and bring Belly off the bench as the backup 5 in the KO role while moving Precious to only a situational option (thankfully). Andre, KZ, even Jimmy are looking like our options at the 4. At this point, acquiring a 5 looks like an insurance plan rather than a real rotational piece.

Does Gasol even have anything left in the tank? I agree a 5 may be more of an insurance plan but it seems they need to move on one quickly

Move on to who quickly? No one left that we'd really be missing out on if another team scooped them. We lost the buyout game hard.

If u have a clear top preference, I'm interested to hear. All I see are insurance guys that we hope never actually play. If that's the case, there is no urgency.

Is Jabari parker still available? And is there anything wrong with him medically?

I like that we looked for Precious tonight, but it could not hurt to shore up our power rotation. He'd be worth a look if he's healthy.

Guys. Plural. That's kind of my point. I see you want Damian Jones. He'll do I guess. Doesn't stand out among the other listed options.

I wish there was a guy we needed to rush to sign. Maybe we really are seeing how Dedmon is recoving from his injury. Or seeing if Gasol gets waived. I don't know.

It will happen before April 9th. But I don't see the urgency to fill the Chris Silva role.
