OT : Space Jam 2 : New Legacy

Actually looks fun and was a great idea to add all the WB characters to the new film like a wreck it Ralph / Ready Player 1 way. Grew up on the first and got older realizing it wasn’t the best acting

but still holds a place in my heart . Gonna be fun seeing who is in the crowd reminds me of the Rucker games

Never watched the first one and I’ll most definitely skip this one. I will say Lebron has been good on the big screen in his limited experience.

I won't say anything negative about Lebron because it is a kid's movie but I am skipping this movie.

It's fine that you don't watch but I think it's the Lebron ego trip comment that people find crazy. It's just a movie, lol.

I have kids so I’ll watch it eventually. I’m not sure why everyone’s going nuts over the trailer though. It’s decent but damn.

I wholeheartedly agree if you judge by performances in this trailer. Based on nothing, I’d say Lebron seems way WAY more into the acting thing than Jordan ever was. Lebron moved to LA in due part to film this—and to continue expanding his media based presence and projects, yes? I would bet that Lebron put in serious time and work with an acting coach before this film, and was way way more creatively involved in the concept, production, and execution of this Space Jam versus Jordan treating his Space Jam like a big shoe commercial. Jordan spent his equivalent time just playing basketball and getting ready for the next season. Lebron is doing a ton of press and publicity and seems really invested in the themes and message of this new Space Jam.

Not a movie I'm going to go see. I probably wouldn't go see the original Space Jam either though if I weren't a Jordan fan/Bulls fan and was an adult, so no real surprise there given I have no special connection to LeBron and the movie itself doesn't look like it will be anything but a little kid movie in the realm of Spy Kids or Shark Boy and Lava Girl which is probably about what the original was as well.

Will say that LeBron looks he did a solid job in the few clips, and that doesn't surprise me much as he's only playing himself anyway which is probably about as easy as it gets in terms of acting and this role isn't too demanding.

So the plot is a kidnapping of his kid. Ok.

Basically, an overdone concept for Liam Neeson adapted to a cartoonish fantasy Lebron ego trip. Well allright. Obviously I don’t like Lebron. But..this is sappy
