Smart to stay big while Walton was trying to entice them into a small ball lineup.

I'm going to be really sad if I see Bobby in a different uni next season. How old is he? 25, 26......

I've been thinking about Portis a lot in the context of Randle.

Jrue is taking up the role as the #2 guy everyone can count and and get behind. Jrue is showing he can pick up the slack.

He didn't come in and insert himself right away, he's been slowly building up and showing he's another leader on this team.

Really cool to see him transition into a leader on this team.

The downside is that Middleton has turned into a pumpkin in the past month and a half. Hope he regains his early season form.

He was awful with 0-8 to start. He has these bad stretches.

Last year this game is a loss with Bledsoe choking in clutch time and Khris having a pumpkin game and the board going 30 pages deep on what to do about Middleton.

Jrue just changes everything. Tonight He hits all his shots, finds the open man every time and is constantly harassing on D. This team can actually afford a pube night from Khris with Giannis out. That's amazing that a bad night from Khris doesn't equal a loss.

Shout out to DDV picking up the slack on the boards...

Also Teague looks like such a better fit already over DJA.

The ball would stick to DJA and u know he's good for at least 3-4 wasted possessions with his pathetic drives.

The offense had no flow or movement whenever the ball was in his hands.

Teague we don't have that problem, just looks like a complimentary bench piece.

Good win no matter what on a trip without your MVP

Jrue was awesome.. was hoping before halftime he might get 40

Brook showed you can still use him when needed

Good to see Portis looking healthy

Donte with a quiet AK47 like stat line is nice

The only thing I don't like is sloppy play at the end I don't expect playoff starters to be careless with passes, rushing, not knowing situations etc

Also, Jrue is great.

We were winning most of our games buy a lot more last year? Any close game was a small sample size last year.

Since Jrue took his starting spot back coming off COVID he’s at 21/5/6 on 54/44/90 shooting and we are 10-2

He’s doing something similar to what Jimmy did in Minnesota, spent the first 20 games or so just trying to fit in, but at a certain point it all clicked and he just took **** over. COVID derailed Jrue’s season so it came a bit later on but it’s happening now.

If there wasn’t a freaking juggernaut in Brooklyn I’d feel pretty good about our title chances.

Close to my favorite post of the year. Maybe I should spend some time in a nuclear reactor if it gives me the juice to stay up til 7:37am watching the Bucks play the Kings. No Medusa stoning for this Perseus.

It was also nice to see Nwora get some regular minutes.

I hope bud gives Nwora or Merrill a chance to break into the rotation.

Someone made a point that Nwora has no idea where to be on defense. It showed and Bud looked ready to send him home.

This is not a fully formed thought, but Bobby's offensive repertoire is smooth as silk. He's got all the defensive warts and everything, but he can drain any shot no hesitation. His 16 footers splash the same way his 3s do. This isn't George Hill getting hot for half a year. He has a really polished game.

And I just think about other guys from around the same time period who were kinda passed around jokes like Randle and Lavine who made a leap and now I'm thinking in the modern all offense NBA Bobby Portis might be 6th Man of the Year on another team. I would've liked to see last year's Heat series with him. At the very least, I think he'll now be the type of player that always seems to be playing in the second round for a contender. I'd be furious if he ended up on the Lakers

Portis is incredibly valuable to this team. His ability to score when nobody else can (Jrue also seems to be doing this too) during our poop stretches is huge.

I’m still mad Pat didn’t score the damn layup with 14 seconds left.

Jrue is definitely better than EBled, but Eric would usually go off against the Kings for whatever reason. Pretty sure his most clutch game as a Buck came against Sac with him getting a steal against Fox in OT to seal the win. Think he had a triple double also.
