Hey, looks like you're no different than anyone else!

Team Mediocre members don’t want to win another championship. They’re happy being fodder to the elite teams by being a low seeded playoff team.

Just with added unbiased perspective and foresight, but otherwise, yeah.

Right, unbiased perspective is required to fantasize over 19 year old basketball players. I forgot.

Brothers and sisters, let us not perpetuate vitriol to those who disagree with our sentiment.

We are all Raptor fans at the end of the day. We are open to all walks of life and want unity not division.

I’m a bit confused.

People were excited before Luka came? Before Lebron? Before AD? Before Oden/Durant? Before Zion?

I could go on for perennial all-stars, superstars, MVPs who people were gushing over before the draft. If one gushed over say Zion before the draft and was more excited about him versus Fred or Pascal, I’m not sure where the misappropriation of expectations is coming from.

I think expecting this core to suddenly become a contender is more unexpected than a top 5 pick in a strong draft becoming a superstar but that is just my opinion.

That Hutchison guy played for like 10 minutes but I swear he brought the raptors back in this. Then Westbrook just decided he was just gonna start pulling up for shots.

Top 5 dream is dead boys.

Pretty tough loss for the Raptors and franchise. Dream's not dead but our path is narrower. It's hard to stomach treadmill basketball. Can only hope for the best.

Well that sucked. But atleast on the good side we got a good highlight for raptors history. Also it's good that pistons, t-wolves, and Cavs also won today. Which wouldve made a loss here huge for the tank :(

Excellent point. I didn't even see those teams pick up the W.

Just looking at it now for sure TWolves + Rockets aren't moving out of the top 3 just because pick protection.

Pistons picking up a win is huge, hopefully Casey coaches them to a few more W's.

We're now 3 games ahead of the tanking Magic and the Westbrook/benched Beal Wizards who are at 4/5. Not where we want to be. We gotta close this gap or they can pull away from us.

Cavs are talented enough to shoot themselves past us.

OKC is just openly tanking as well at 7th.

Looking ahead to tomorrow:
Drummond practised with the Lakers today so it's likely they'll roll with him tomorrow. We played our guys heavy minutes to beat this Wizards team when we were down 10 (WHY). Gotta secure a W for the Lakers and Drummond eat up our lack of rebounding. I'm still circling the Cavs game on Saturday as a must lose.

If we lose the next 4 games this week we can salvage some of the ground we lost. But anything else I think we’ll be stuck at around the 7-8 pick mark.

These other tanking teams (magic, wizards, cavs) don’t have a whole lot of wins left in the season. Especially the cavs and magic, both their schedules are brutal if you look at them. Wizards have an easy stretch but they’re resting Beal, Hachimura and Robin Lopez if today’s injury means anything.

I agree with this. I think the Raptors best case scenario is finishing 7th or 8th. Minnesota, Houston, and Detroit will be in the bottom 3. I do not see the Raptors passing the other tanking teams- Wizards, Magic or Cavs to get in the top 5. Raptors had to start tanking a month ago to be in that range, but I do not see it happening now. Best case scenario is for some luck to bounce our way in the draft, so we can at least get the 4th pick. If not, we need to focus on the 6-12 range for the Draft.

A lot of Team Let's Win has already jumped ship to TWO - mostly the ones who have some logic and sense of future. Only the most staunch supporters of winning meaningless games and getting bounced in 1st round remain. There is no constructive debate anymore with those remaining, because they are driven by emotion and are devoid of reasoning.

Meh the tank is still on. This was one game. Imagine Siakam hit one of the many game winners he took earlier in the season. We'd probably be around 6-8. The tank will rev back on and we'll end up with a top 7 record and no play in.
