Release JMac?

Let's say I believe that Finch thinks that. Why has every Finch offense been heavily reliant on PGs and PG scoring (Holiday, Lowry, Van Fleet, Murray) if Finch doesn't think PGs matter? Help me understand why he's always made PGs a big part of his offense. I'm looking to learn from you.

He's been an assistant or associate since 2011. That is the past 10 years of assisting with someone else's offense. I find it interesting how you attribute all the teams he pitstopped at as "Finch offense". Kyle Lowry has been in Toronto snice 2012 playing Toronto offense since then. Finch was an assistant with Houston in 2011 when Lowry was there. Is that the connection you want us to believe in? Because Finch wasn't even in Toronto for a full season. VanVleet was playing in the finals and banking a big contract before Finch got near him. So this claim that the offense Lowry & VanVleet have played in has much of anything at all to do with him is really funny.

Finch is just now getting his chance to call all the shots. He's going through the trial and error process all new coaches do with existing teams. He hopped in carrying on the offense here as it was as you would expect. The reality is closer to him just saying what has to be said since this is the team environment he walked into. Now with a change here or there as he tries things. But he was asked how he can make this work and he carried the party line that started this season. One that doesn't make a whole lot of sense given all the choices they've made. Traditional Pg's aren't necessary for this offense, but we keep them around and keep adding them to play offball corner shooters. Won't release or standard contract JMac. Traded current and future assets for points like Dlo/Rubio. Drafted a PGfirst/combo #1. Drafted another in stash described as a wing/point guard.

Finch can and has done different things already. The Philly game wasn't led by wings. In essense he just got here. We'll see next season how things shake out but maybe then you can start describing it as his.

You have no specific knowledge of any offers made to JMAC for this or next season. You don’t know how much he wants, how many years he wants, or what he is willing to settle for. We offered him a contract at the beginning of the season, he turned it down.

They offered him a two way continuance, he chose to wait and then ultimately accepted it. Any team making an offer on him would in essense lock up that roster spot until the Timberwolves decided to match or not. Meaning the Timberwolves could drag that out just long enough for the other team to miss a chance on others. This has all been gone through here already. No need to further rehash or add misleading statements.

Tyler Cook is someone the team had in their control recently. Couldn't give him the 15th because they were saving it for no one, not even Jmac. Another team gave him a standard deal conversion off a ten day for 3pt/3 rebound performances. Even though it's just finishing the season on a real standard contract, that's respect for the work he put in.
