He's a nice utility player off the bench who is useful in certain matchups. He's a nice bench piece or could be used in a package for a solid starter.

It's one of the best deals in the league.

Boucher has been a pleasant surprise this season. It is not his fault that the team only has one player that is the size of a tradition center and that player is Aron Baynes. Boucher is great as your first big off the bench playing 20-25 a night backing up a legitimate power forward and center. Boucher is the least of the Raptors problems and I feel it is a no brainer to pick up the team option.

Does he really fit in with the timeline of our core? I think playoff or competitive type teams might be looking for an energy guy with some threepoint shooting on a cap friendly contract. The question is would they offer more value to the raptors in a trade, then they perceive they get from keeping him.

So he gets a significant raise to 6-7 mil and he puts up 13 points, 6 boards, 39 per cent from 3, 22 per and is a plus player. Turns 29 next January but as a pro has next to no time on the clock. Essentially he is a 25 year old out there.

I don't think Boucher is traded this offseason, but I could see him being involved in a trade deadline deal next year.

Not crazy about him. Would decline option if it meant more cap space to bring a bigger peice in

boucher is fine as a bench player... why does everyone want to get rid of every nba calibre player we have? the guys who need to be replaced are bembry, stanley and company...

He has come a long, long way to be a decent bench player in a contract that now seems reasonable rather than ludicrous. But sure, trade him when we draft Embiid 2.0 next year. Oh, wait.

The thing is, AFAIK, we need to accept/decline the option before the start of free agency. So we won't be able to see what pieces we can bring in beforehand.

The nice thing though, is that he's absolutely a value contract. So if we do land a big gun and desperately need that extra 4mil in cap space, we can always trade him then. (And when we don't land a max player, we have a great value guy on our bench)

Depends on if there’s a FA accepting a max offer we need space for. If so, he will be released.

His 3pt % by month:
December 40%
January 44%
February 47%
March 32% (His TS% was still good though)
April 20%
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Chris is the best option as a PF who relieves Pascal...coming off the bench, he gives you defence and offense..skinny as he is..he does give you enough coming off the bench..

We need a starting Center next season.. that sets good screens on offense and can rebound on defence..

Bench needs to be filled out .. we got Boucher .. Flynn.. bring back Bembry and Yuta on a decent deal.. and I don't know if we still have Stanley.. he is decent on defense but his offensive game is no good..watching Stanley and Yuta, both these guys keep their man in front of them mostly..and don't usually bite on fakes...

We need a small forward that can score..off the bench and a combo PG/SG type player.. Watson showed us some good minutes, but this stupid Covid has messed up his game.

Nurse vs Boucher. Who has term security? Read the tea leaves. Nurse has already told you.

Boucher's NBA ranking by...

Boucher's NBA ranking by...

Consider the lowest of those rankings, the one that has him at #93 (RAPM). #93 by salary is $13 million. So if his salary was commensurate with objective advanced on/off metrics, his salary should be at least doubled.
