I’m sorry. They’re fine as role players but they should not be closing games.

You just described MSG/Dolan’s entire team building strategy. The extra special added bonus of propping up journeyman mercenaries is that we neither develop our own picks nor lose enough to have good odds at a top 3-5 pick.

But who needs a top 3-5 pick in a loaded draft when you can maybe be the Pandemic Playoff 8 seed if Alec Burks gets hot in May?

In the game thread I said he was active and wouldn’t play more than 20 minutes. I hate to be right. At this point we just gotta accept the roster is flawed and Thibs hates young players. Okc building for the future we helping journeyman vets get their next contract. Perry gotta go...

You just described why I was so extra in 17-18. We said f the 2018 draft, f the 2019 FA. We want 30 wins!

Just pathetic

Knicks gonna fully take off when Thibs leaves like how GSW did after Mark Jackson

Then again the timberwolves canned him after a couple years and they’re still down in the dumps

RJ has improved his 3PT% by 6% from last season and his overall FG% by 4.8%

that's a HUGE improvement....and he's only 20

but no....tanking doesn't work.....only landed us RJ :dontknow:

RJ is 20 and will add to his game. We finally hit on one. Give him the ball and surround him with shooters. I don’t want to hear he’s not ready yet.

The only reason it won’t be an option is b/c he won’t even acknowledge us.

We don’t care about age. We’ve been giving guys golden parachutes forever. Jack was our starting PG 3 seasons ago.

I've had this conversation, and it's surprisingly extremely hard to find a definitive answer. However, it appears that what you suggest isn't possible. It appears that the 16 teams that actually make the playoffs (ie after the play-in tourney) are the teams who won't be in the lottery.

So if you are the 10th team after the regular season and win the two play in-games you don't get to be part of the lottery. To be very picky - if you are 10th after the regular season you are not the 10th seed in the playoffs, you are simply a team in the play-in tourney. (And the same applies if you are 7th after the regular season.)

If you have a definitive source contradiction this, please do post a link to it.

Do you really think a team would give us a Top 10 pick for Randle?

Vuc just landed a potential top 10 pick and Randle is 4 years younger

Vuc is a much more proven player. He is playing at a high level for several consecutive years.

Randle was a negative contract player for under 20M contract past season. At least, teams view him as a difficult player to fit in a team.

Vuc is locked until 2023. Randle can walk next year.

I am not sure if it was a good deal for the Bulls. It appeared more a desperation move. You cant take bad deals as referential. Besides, If Chicago's pick is a Top10 this season, definitely it was not a good deal.
