But who needs a top 3-5 pick in a loaded draft when you can maybe be the Pandemic Playoff 8 seed if Alec Burks gets hot in May?

Thibs is a very good coach to instill the defensive fundamentals that’ll benefit the next coach. He’s a transitional coach. Great at preparation, terrible in game.

We don’t care about age. We’ve been giving guys golden parachutes forever. Jack was our starting PG 3 seasons ago.

I read that if we make the playoffs as the 10th seed, we can be in the playoffs AND get #8 pick with a chance of moving into the top 4. This is what I want at this point.

I've had this conversation, and it's surprisingly extremely hard to find a definitive answer. However, it appears that what you suggest isn't possible. It appears that the 16 teams that actually make the playoffs (ie after the play-in tourney) are the teams who won't be in the lottery.

So if you are the 10th team after the regular season and win the two play in-games you don't get to be part of the lottery. To be very picky - if you are 10th after the regular season you are not the 10th seed in the playoffs, you are simply a team in the play-in tourney. (And the same applies if you are 7th after the regular season.)

If you have a definitive source contradiction this, please do post a link to it.

Vuc just landed a potential top 10 pick and Randle is 4 years younger

Vuc is a much more proven player. He is playing at a high level for several consecutive years.

Randle was a negative contract player for under 20M contract past season. At least, teams view him as a difficult player to fit in a team.

Vuc is locked until 2023. Randle can walk next year.

I am not sure if it was a good deal for the Bulls. It appeared more a desperation move. You cant take bad deals as referential. Besides, If Chicago's pick is a Top10 this season, definitely it was not a good deal.
