I think most teams wouldn't want to meet them in the first round. This isn't the Suns of 2 seasons ago.

vs. Teams Over .500 19 6 76.0

Trust me, when you can choose among healthy Lakers, Nuggets, Jazz, Clippers, and Suns, the choice is simple. A 6'0, 35 yr old, injury prone CP3 is the only player on the team with mention-worthy playoff experience.

You talk about healthy teams and then say "injury prone" to make your point. It's a bad take. Why is Chris Paul the one that sticks out when Lebron, AD, PG, and Kawhi have all been injury prone recently? Paul has held up swimmingly, and I doubted his durability when the trade happened. He's only playing around 30-31 minutes a game, and isn't the main focus on the team, more of a facilitator and less needed for scoring most games. Anything can happen, but barring a catastrophe, he should be fine.

Those Cippers team were second round fodder. This Suns team looks like first round fodder. If there was an overachieving award, they'd get it handedly.

Not seeing the argument. The '18 Rockets took the KD Warriors to the very brink and just might've prevailed had CP3 not gotten injured. That right there is historic-tier and a team that's levels above these current Suns

Can always count on this dude to come make a negative post about the Suns. I barely look at the GB, but there's a few posters that go out of their way to post **** about the Suns/Booker.

They could be but I don't think any team is afraid of meeting them the first round. I for one would not bet them to make the WCF.

And that's fine for you to think that but numbers speak for themselves. Any real coach would hate to first a team thats top 5 on both defense and offense in the playoffs but sure the Suns are who everyone wants .

So what top seed assuming healthy do you think teams would rather play? It's all fun to disagree but who's the right answer in the west?

Booker is overrated and the Suns aren't taken serious in the post season. I'm not sure how those two comments would be hot takes or considered "negative"

I will say this - Chris Paul deserves to be in the MVP discussion. Even above Jokic.

To be clear, I don't want that to happen and hope Suns can go deep. I am simply stating a perception many people have. CP3 does have a history of missing critical playoff games. You can visit different fan bases, Blazers, Mavs, Spurs... all welcome a first round against Suns.

Utah for one. Clippers always seem to fall short come playoff time.

Not even close. That one year rockets team in 18 was vastly superior.

Second? Maybe.

All teams the Suns have had their way with this season (outside Spurs, who the Suns haven't played yet). Suns gladly take any of those matchups.

That roster was 8 deep. 9 at best. Suns team is 12-13 deep.

Utah might be a reasonable choice here all be it they've consistently been winning in the first round. Clippers is pretty absurd, always? This team has been together for one, not even real playoff run in that stupid bubble.

Being deeper than 8-9 is worthless in the playoffs.

So what? That may be the best team ever to not win a title and that’s just coz Paul got injured.

Also they coulda gone a little deeper into their rotation. Pringle’s just loves to run teams I go the ground.

Not necessary. But being deeper also doesn’t mean better. It just depends. Teams like 11 Dallas, 14 spurs went pretty deep into their rotation. Maybe 16 warriors too? Sure there’s heaps.

Generally 8-9 is normal but if you have the talent I don’t think it’s worthless.

I said I would consider 17-18 Rockets to have more overall talent... I just think there could be an argument made that when CP3 has the ball in his hands this suns team utilizes his talents better.

-Harden is the superior talent, but I think Booker is a better off ball talent alongside CP3.
-I would take Ayton over Capela.
-Bridges/Crowder vs Arina/Tucker feels pretty close to me.
-I think I would give Phx bench the slight edge

Warriors went 8 deep in 2016 with in guys missing games a few guys like Clark, Ezeili and Speights got some time on the court. I'm not really sure that was all that needed though.

14 spurs went 9 unless you count the random minutes bonner got.

11 mavs went 9 deep and really that was it. Not really anyone else to consider.

But yeah, you're not wrong that it's nice to have more depth but in terms of actual impact, it's really not needed without injuries or if you had some realize nicely specialized players (what we used to call role players).

This thread is a win/win for me.

His best supporting cast means theres alot of props to all the players on this suns team.

If its not his best then oh well lol we are doing more with less.

Cya nerds in the playoffs 8-)
