My dream offseason is moving Fred for a legit center like Turner or maybe Jarrett Allen in a sign and trade if the Cavs would do it + Siakam for a Top 3 pick. If we could have 2 top 5 picks then we’re golden

Still don’t think this organization is tanking. Why add Birch? Why is Nurse playing guys big minutes?

Hope the Siakam resting is a sign but I doubt it.

Siakam is owed close to 38 million three seasons from now. Might be tough to move that deal and get a great return. I am on board with moving FVV, especially if this team has great luck and moves into the top 3, with a chance to draft Suggs. However, nobody on this team should be off-limits, including even OG.

Been reading that Birch is basically here for next season.

If this team wasn’t tanking pascal Fred and Kyle wouldn’t be out right now with boo boo injuries. And we would’ve prioritized trading for/signing a starting caliber C using norm as the trade piece.

I think Siakam resting and Kyle/Fred taking their time back is a pretty good sign for tanking. Nurse will play guys that will help him win though, he’s not a tank coach.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Birch could be a case that he is competing for a bench role next season. The only 2 bugs returning are probably siakam and Boucher. We're gonna need SOMEONE with decent size after we pass on Bayne's option. This could be more a rehearsal than anything else.

I hear what you're saying. Probably has something to do with so much going wrong that we think karma owes us something. Maybe not rational but I've thought what you're saying.

Giannis resigning took alot wind from our sails. On top of Tampa. Losing serge and Marc for such small contracts. The TD setback. Masai not resigning and Bobby taking longer than expected. On top of not finding a trade for Lowry. First losing season in a long time. Team hit hard by covid. On top of so many close loses (apparently historically unprecedented with our net points for/against). Throw in some bad (allegedly biased) officiating and a bunch of missed buzzer beaters for and a bunch of made daggers against.

Not much has gone our way.

Hip Flexor is a serious injury. This is Siakam's first time sitting for rest. Lowry has a foot infection.

Hope you're right though.

Lowry apparently has had an infection most of the season. They’re treating it now because we’re going full tank. Fvv you could be right. I do think we’re not rushing him back tho.

Yeah I have no untouchables either but OG I think with his age and contract we can easily just wait and see where it takes us.

If you look at Pascal's numbers past the first four games of this season he's been mostly pretty good.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/siakapa01/splits/2021

He's been more efficient than he was last season when he was an All-Star. Improved his passing. Turns it over less. The team struggles have obscured it but he's been fine. If they wanted to he'd be moveable easily but there's not much reason to do so.

If we're gonna draft Cade or Suggs, there's no point in bringing back FVV. Trade him for a big.
We shouldn't look to move Siakam and I doubt Masai would even consider it. Unless someone offers something out of this world.

(Suggs/Cade)
Trent
OG
Siakam
(Big acquired via trade)

Would you trade top 3 pick for Shai?

I think I’d rather

VV
(Cade/Green/Suggs)/GTJ
Og
Siakam
Holmes with Lowry cap space

Yes. Shai might be the only guy I’d be willing to trade the pick for. He’s still on his rookie deal and with the Qualifying offer is only making 7 million two seasons from now and he’s already a great player. We’d never have to worry about him leaving either so that’s a move I’d be willing to make

Don’t think OKC would do it though since he’s a sure fire future perennial all star which outweighs the risk of drafting a bust and worrying about how the player would translate to the NBA

Not the first overall pick. But if its the 2nd or 3rd pick, then yeah.

Yeah if we can draft a PG in Suggs or Cade I’d want to free room for him to take over from day 1. Fred should be able to get us Turner or maybe Allen in a S&T
