Hope this is not the case, but it's just hope at this point
If we get Lowry as a free agent signing, we won't need Oladipo. Lowry is better at shooting, scoring, and maybe even defending. Oladipo's best season is 2017-2018 when he had a 110 ORTG and a 104 DRTG. His career rating is 103/107. This season with the Heat Oladipo is 86/107 for comparison. 107 is not bad. 104 is very good for a guard.
Lowry is career 115/108, 109/108 in the playoffs. Lowry has 3 seasons with 104 DRTG. This season is not great (116/114) but In 2019-20, Lowry's DRTG was 106, considerably better than Oladipo's performance the last few seasons.
Also, Lowry may be healthier. He hasn't missed long strings of games. Since 2011-12, he has only one season with fewer than 60 games and has of course played a ton in the postseason.
