Report: Eagles Could Trade Up In Draft If QB Slides

The Philadelphia Eagles are considering all possibilities as the NFL Draft nears.

ESPN\'s Jeremy Fowler reports that the Eagles could move back up if a quarterback prospect falls within reach.

\"If Trey Lance slides, if Justin Fields slides and the Eagles have a high grade on them, they could make that move,\" Fowler said on Sportscenter. \"People I\'ve talked to think the Eagles could go quarterback somewhere in this draft just to either get insurance for Jalen Hurts or competition for Jalen Hurts.\"

The Eagles moved down from No. 6 to No. 12 in a trade with the Miami Dolphins earlier this month.

Yeah, that's it, trade down and then back up again. Sounds like a good way to waste draft picks. What was the point of trading down in the 1st place then?

Ok, this is silly season in the NFL. All smoke n mirrors. Whatever is OUT THERE is because the GM wanted it out there. This is all misdirection and slight of hand. The Eagles aren't taking a QB in the first two rounds. It's time for them to fill out the team with youth at every position. I do see them looking at QB's starting in the 4th with their 123 overall pick, but not in the earlier rounds. Remember, everything we hear and read about GM's interest/non-interest is all information that is out for a reason. Unless it's clearly obvious, like Jags taking Lawrence, then take it with a grain of salt.
