TB wrote:^ I hear ya, but as I mentioned, I dont think Wiseman/Minny pick gets us that level of a player. Now if a Beal or Simmons level player becomes available, sure we can offer Wiggins, Wiseman, Minny Pick, multiple future 1sts... and I'd support that. But at this point I don't see it as likely. This can all change based on playoff performances, but we said that last year and we didn't land anyone...

Agreed that Wiseman and Minny pick doesn't get us a super star. But we'll see how the landscape changes after these playoffs. We might have to do a trade where we go all in with assets that include multiple firsts. Does that mean there is such a deal? No. But we just have no idea. But I truly believe we need to add somebody better than Oubre to add to the Steph, Draymond, Wiggins, and Wiseman lineup to be a contender. If not, we're gonna be treading water and putting all our eggs in a basket hoping Klay defies the odds and tips the scales in our favor.

But if we can acquire a significant player somehow, then having Klay in our backpocket is really going to be a nice thought for next season. But it's just about how brave Myers gets. Like a lot of people here, I just don't have a lot of trust in him when it comes to surprising us in the off season. I will be really underwhelmed if we just use our draft picks and sign somebody like Batum or Reggie Bullock via the MLE. So here's hoping that Myers is going to shut me up this summer.

I'd love for us to find a way to get Josh Hart. I think he's very underrated and would work wonders in this system.

Hart is RFA.

Will Pels extend both Lonzo and Hart?

Curry/klay/Wiggins/draymond/wiseman

Yep. I think Warriors come back next year with very little changes:
Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Green, Wiseman will be our starters.
Poole, Looney....okay with these two and maybe JTA as the 10th guy in the rotation.

But Warriors need to shore up the backup point guard and add one more vet banger.

Backup point might be a top draft pick....with PJ Tucker as the bench hustle and muscle .

Poole is Jamaal Crawford 2.0. If there is a chance to sell high on him take it.

Does anyone know how the lottery is going to play out this year? Are the teams 9-15 in each conference including the 9-10 play in seeds will be in the lottery with the chance to get into the top 3, as before? Or only 10 totally non playoff pool participants (5 from each conference) will be in the lottery and the rest will be slotted according to the record after those 10?

Think of it as a tourney to get the 7 and 8 seeds. Whoever doesn't get them falls into the lottery.

I like davion Mitchell with our pick. His burst is elite.

Also wouldn’t mind harkless as the wing defender we bring in. Paschall and smiley bring it to 14 and 15 is a vet center.

I do not understand why people seem to want Wiseman to start next year. Unless he makes remarkable progress in the off-season he should not be starting.

For comparison Bell had a better first year than Wiseman. He ended up playing less his second year. Just one of those head-scratchers that go largely unremarked.

Don't see the Dubs keeping Oubre. Too expensive with Klay back. I think Mannion and Smiley are expendable. Jessup is a strong possibility. GP II looks like a lockdown defender -- give him a real contract. JTA is a keeper. So is Paschall. Looney has always been solid. Key will be who the Dubs draft (minny pick?) and if they can get a banger to take some minutes at the 5. At that point, I like what we've got. Nobody replaces KD, and the LBJ/Davis and KD/JH/KI rosters are built to win it all -- just need to see who's healthy in May/June.

Whether we want Wiseman to start or not, he's starting when he's healthy. It's too late to demote him back to a bench role. He may start in role but he'll probably play 20 minutes until he's ready for more.

If Klay comes back, maybe they win a game like the Boston game.

But really to get into a slugfest with elite team -- and I'm not sure Boston is elite, maybe more borderline -- the Warriors need Klay to be like the Klay in Game 6 vs. OKC or some of the great games he had vs. Toronto in that series, when he was pulling on Kawhi's and Siakam's faces.

Who's to say we will see that Klay again when he returns? Or ever?

Because while he's had many big games on the biggest stage, he's also been mediocre at best in a lot of regular season games.

That's why the injuries are so tough to take. He looked like peak Klay, made a jump towards being able to carry the team as much as Curry. He was NBA Jam on fire in that series.

He was playing so well against Toronto. By far the best he's ever been. Just a shame he wasn't able to build on that.

Get another wing defender and center and I like that team.

I'd be good with having Bazemore return on a minimum contract as that wing defender. He's a solid defender with a strong motor, shooting 41% from deep, and most importantly, knows how to play alongside Steph and Draymond.

That team is going to dominate the 6 seed for the next 2 years. And that's my glass half full take.

I'm getting tired of Bazemore coming in fouling. His 'motor' runs to reckless too often. He's averaging 4.6 fouls per 36 minutes, with way too many of them 3 pointers.
