Johnny Juzang Declares For Draft, Won't Hire Agent

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:42 pm

Johnny Juzang is entering the 2021 NBA Draft but will maintain the ability to return to UCLA.

Juzang, the No. 50 prospect in the ESPN 100 NBA draft rankings, was named second-team All-Conference in the Pac-12 after a productive season in which he averaged 16 points and 4.1 rebounds for UCLA.

Juzang was one of the most improved players in the country after averaging just 2.9 points in 12 minutes per game as a freshman at Kentucky, leading him to transfer in the offseason to be closer to home.

Smart move to gauge interest based on his stellar play in tourney. Most mocks have him going in the end of the 2nd round but I think he's a lock for late 1st round.

His game reminds me of TJ Warren. Not too athletic but a bucket.

Good comp. Hopefully he gets drafted by the right team if he decides to stay in the draft or else his potential will just be wasted on the end of the bench.
