Jazz have been passing up some open shots to get worse shots.
Minnesota already beat us once this season. Hope it doesn't happen again.

We had a few surprising losses recently--the loss to the Wizards comes to mind as well. Both were at home.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Re: Game 60: Minnesota Timberwolves (16-44) @ Utah Jazz (44-15)
I slept thru the last quarter and a half, but I knew the Jazz were in for a fight or loss once the T-Wolves started playing aggressive defense and both Ingles and O'Neale began showing some shot hesitancy at the three point line that led to tougher shots. Also, Ingles had three bad passes for tovs in the first 14 minutes of the game. It wasn't Joe's night.
On offense, the Wolves have a capable big three with Towns, Edwards and Russell, who are averaging 26.6, 22.3 and 19.4 ppg respectively on efficient shooting over the last 15 games. Rookie Edwards has already developed in to an outstanding NBA player at 19 years old. Russell only suited up for the last 11 of those 15 games, and is just getting back to full minutes after missing most of February and all of March with injury. He's a 20+ point per night scorer like the other two when he plays 31+ minutes.
We play the Wolves again in Minnesota tomorrow tonight. The Jazz need to refocus and bring high energy and aggression to avoid a season sweep.

Figure Jazz was not ready. Better learn Utah to play balls to the wall for 48 minutes or season will end with loss.

Jazz didn't really exert themselves much on defense until the 4th quarter when the T'wolves took the lead. Minnesota has some good athletes with length that caused our shooters some problems, and some guys were hesitating, but the Jazz lost because they weren't locked in on defense.
Jazz probably need to close 8-4 or 9-3 to hold the #1 seed.

Not locked in until to late and wasn't free flowing with shots the last 3 quarter. Can they learn not to wait on defense? 48 minutes on D to win championship.Catchall wrote:Jazz didn't really exert themselves much on defense until the 4th quarter when the T'wolves took the lead. This is what they did against the Knicks early in the season. They got up 18 pts early, let up, and never really got re-engaged..
Looks like the Nets are doing the Jazz a favor though handing back a loss to the Suns.

2 days later & I still have the exact same thought as I did when they "played" (term used loosely).
Pathetic.
That's all.
