I think we are past Must-Win mode. The Blazers are looking more like a #10 team than a #6 team. Unless they get it together, they'll be playing the play-in game as a #9 or #10 team.

Agree strongly. There is a lack of joy. They seem to expect bad things happening. Unfortunately when you expect bad things, you get them. Even in Stotts/Lillard first year, I have not seen such droopiness.

I think it's you. I see hard work, energy, and improving execution and skill. I credit Nurkic getting better and the addition of Powell. Lillard and CJ are in a bit of a shooting slump, but they are playing through it.

Here's a theory: Dame may be currently struggling due to his fading chances of MVP. The team has been struggling for a longer stretch IMO, due to a style of play focused more on feeding Dame's personal success and MVP run, than it is with winning. Dame's increased level of off-court revenue making (advertising) for this franchise must be helping offset the lack of, butts in seats, and an MVP bid, in the eyes of the bean counters, should only help.

This team is just not very good and I can’t be convinced otherwise. They’re pretty much just a streaky shooting team who can’t win if they shoot bad and their defense is so bad they sometimes can’t win when the shots are falling. Good teams find ways to win bad teams find ways to lose. This team falls into the latter category. The worst part of it is the brand of basketball they’ve started playing isn’t fun to watch. They pass up good looks only to dribble into tougher shots, they don’t hustle back on defense, their effort on defense overall is lacking and they don’t pass the ball. It’s a very selfish brand for lack of a better word. And it starts with our best players who don’t give a damn about defense and try to play hero ball and it all Trickles down to the rest of the players

I think the main thing is Lillard not playing as well. They should probably be resting him if he's playing hurt. It's not like they are winning with him.
