López abused by Harrell in several plays. Why did Gafford only play 6 mins??? Brooks and his love for vets

Thankfully, Harrell comes out and Lopez goes into Captain Hook mode against Drummond, who looks kind of meh as does Davis, who is probably still not 100%.

Much better once the defense settled down. And I think Hutchison was a key factor there. Very active rebounding and closing in on the 3 point line.

I really think Hutch should play more (I mean should play) and well, I guess Matthews won't play tonight due to the matchups. But if the Wiz are number one in pace of play, why not play a fast and super-athletic small forward who can finish? He does have his offensive limitations, but that's why you bring him off the bench.

This dude doing the ESPN broadcast play-by-play is shocked the Wiz put up 61 on the Lakers? What are they? The Knicks? He didn't even know who Daniel Gafford was.
Didn't realize it was Dave Pasch, who does the Pac-12 games with BIll Walton.

Agreed. Hutchison should fit the run and gun style we are playing. And he is solid on D.

So nice to see Russ take only 7 shots in the first half.

That’s Dave Pasch.
Doris Burke should just call the game herself. She clearly watches some Wizards games.

Re: GT #62: Lakers @ Bullets 7:30 PM (ESPN/1500 AM)
One good piece of coaching by Brooks - Rui was getting abused by the Lakers early on - almost every time in the first 5 minutes, the Lakers went at him - regardless of who he was guarding, and they scored at will on him. Brooks took him out, and when he went back in the next quarter, Rui was a different guy - defending Davis well, and making plays on offense. And playing Hitcherson was a good move - he added some athleticism and energy that seemed to be lacking.
Please don't play Len anymore - he's such a clod. Amazing that he got away with that elbow to Davis' face, lol. If I was LAL's coach, I would have taken a technical - or at least requested a replay. Not doing anything when your star gets abused like that is not a good way to run your team.

Also, glad to hear the ESPN crew praising Rui’s D on Davies. He has really improved his man’s D this season!
And please no more 3 guard line-ups unless strictly necessary...

Yeah, I didn't realize by voice. I've watched many a game with him and Bill Walton on West Coast games. I think it's very difficult doing these games remotely and national people have no clue about the WIz other than Westbrook and maybe Beal.

Len is a clod or a klutz, but he actually has played some of his best basketball lately. Sure, play Gafford as a starter, but in this game, you're stuck with Harrell just abusing Lopez off the bench. I'd rather have Gafford on him.
And who the eff is Hitcherson?
