admittedly its only a tenth seed so far going into the toughest part of our schedule, but still pretty awesome compared to where we started this season. Thibs and the rest of this coaching staff worked a pretty big miracle.

if we lose the play in we get a lottery pick and no playoffs. we aren’t officially in the playoffs yet

Knicks only clinch the play-in. That's something they don't want to be in. they need to guarantee the 4th seed.

Let’s not act like any of us thought a 4 seed was possible coming into this year. Thibs, Randle, Rose and RJ have all been key to this teams success let’s just appreciate this season for what it is.

according to the ABC/ESPN promos for the NBA playoffs - the KNICKS are in! saw it last night during some game. so it must be true.

Like everyone else, I would love for us to get the 4th seed. That being said, agree with the OP. Few of us thought we would be clinching a playoff birth - let along a winning record - with still 8 games to go, and be in position to take 4th (be in the drivers seat no less). This has been without a doubt my favorite Knicks season so far since the late 90s.

next important numbers are 4 gets us the 8 seed and 5 gets us te 6 seed.

where's our season expectations thread? gotta read those receipts. i don't think even the most optimistic of us had anything like this. i did believe we could maybe sneak into the play-in picture. but damn.

Im celebrating every milestone from clinching the one game play in to actually clinching the playoffs. Havent been able to do this for years, so Im just gonna jump up and down like a kid every time

ESPN new power rating has Knicks #8. 538 moved us up a victory to a projected #19 in the NBA at 39-33 (still behind Hawks. tied with Miami and one game ahead of Celtics projections). But 538 probably still thinks Hilary won. :crazy:
