Shaking and crying imagining the offensive sets we're going to run come playoffs when we desperately need a bucket late game. Embiid flop ball isn't going to work when the refs swallow that whistle. We already lost a playoff game in 2018 against the Celtics when Baynes came down with a forearm shiver on Jo uncalled despite the L2M report saying it actually was a foul the day after, but who cares by then.

Tobias iso-ball? Ben tips? Good luck man

This time it’s different. Biid is a much better shooter.

He’s gonna take a jumper like how he did tonight. It’s our best chance.

But even Jordan misses his jumpers and sometimes you need to have dennis rodman tipping it in for a game winner.

The real problem IMO is teams can live with Embiid dropping 50, whereas we dont need a decent 2nd scorer on our team.

I dont know how much its gonna work, but currently, FO would like to address this by having a collective effort of mostly 10-12pppg scorers lead by Tobi and Ben to even D12.

Doc isn’t a savior, Hill should be a starter from now on.
Offense is going to be what it is right now in crunch time only worse, more pressure, better teams, more focused on Embiid. Ben neutralizes his own individual offense so you don’t have to scheme for him at all he’s just non threatening once a guy faces him up and he knows it. Ben ball is a distant memory now.

Once again do not buy Embiid’s offense as team offense two very different things here.

HCA will cover the cracks until a legitimate side wins when we are at home when the real thing starts (only takes one loss at home and it’s good night like Groundhog Day). Oh and the real version of Harris showed up.

Do you even like this team, weirdo? We won the previous 3 by the biggest margin in franchise history. Relax.

I mean it’s a love/hate relationship if that’s a thing so 1000% yes. That’s when you know you have club for life. You want to strangle them sometimes and other times they give you hope sometimes in the same damn game. Any person can attest to that.

Most teams wouldnt want to face us because of mismatch issues. Like most of the teams dont have a big who can slow down Embiid on single coverage while we have guards and wings to slow down their top players. I love to face the Knicks, Hawks and Hornets.

The teams that could be confident to beat us is someone like the Lakers, Bucks or Nets. Whereas I believe Bucks frontcourt is a recipe to beat us. Brolo pulling Biid out of the paint and Giannis being able to provide help defense because of Ben’s inability to pull Giannis out. I can also say the same thing with the Lakers.

Then maybe the Nets where they’ll try to beat Biid’s offense with a lot more offense.

The problem is Tobias. He needs to be the second leading scorer when he earns 37M. You cannot have Danny green or Seth taking more shots than Tobias.

You cannot beat Bucks or Nets with Tobias giving you 15 pts - 20 pts. If Joel gets into foul trouble you do not have a secondary option to score.

I don't think 76ers as constructed can beat bucks or nets in a 7 game series.

Problem are Tobi and Ben.

Neither can be a relied upon to be a second option on offense. I dont even think Ben could be a third option/release valve scorer.

Much worse when both of them combined for 11pts. Which is what Danny Green scored for the game.

The team is fatally flawed. Embiid can't be the go to scorer down the stretch. He won't get calls and will turn it over. Simmons obviously cant do it and Harris is yet to do it when it matters.

Unless George Hill becomes Kyrie the east coast finals will see this team out.

We have more room for error with home court.

Like the Boston 2018 series. We all knew we blew game 3. But with no home court you are down 3-0. Flip it. And you at least give yourself a chance to win game 5 at home and extend series

Same thing with Toronto series. Toronto got a chance to redeem themselves to win game 4. Flip it. If sixers had home court. Won first two games. Than won at Toronto. Toronto looking at 3-0. But with home court. Toronto has more room for error.

That’s just the way home court works.

I like our chances. We have. Better chance winning one game on the road. Vs the other teams winning 2 games at Wells Fargo where we just don’t lose if we have our starting lineup.

All three have their warts come playoff time. Embiid on offense, Harris on offense, Simmons etc. health.

Our team is flawed by definition there’s no getting around it. Bringing our backcourt is asking for trouble in a hyper perimeter focused meta. Trading slow 2’s for threes ain’t going to cut it.

Butler (even though our coach had no idea until it was too late, he was our best player for the team chances).

HCA is great but we are not the same side in the RS vs the playoffs. It’s consistent against a good team in the crunch teams have two consistent go to options who are far less flawed and exposed then our one. It’s so obvious what our play is and worst yet we don’t have plan B or C.
Suns ran us off, Harris did his dissapearing act, and Embiid had 8 turnovers. Heck even the GSW’s game.
It was borderline embarrassing watching the one style struggling big time and one style doing it easy. But this is the corner we put ourselves into.
It’ll be worse come playoff time.
Nets, Bucks, Heat, Celtics don’t care if Embiid goes for 35 a game.

I just hope they perform well that’s it.

We have major flaws. But home court will help. I’m not worried about bucks. Not worried about heat Celtics Hawks whoever we get in first round. Those teams have major issues themselves this season. Everyone thinks those teams can just turn it on with experience.

Celtics issue is really defense this season. People talk about how well Tatum is playing. He has to play well because they are giving up so many buckets. Having Ben Simmons on perimeter to neutralize or slow Tatum or brown or whoever is hot will help this season. Celtics haven’t actually stopped anyone trying to score.

Heat. Embiid has 50 pounds over bam plus 3 inches. It’s a horrible matchup for the heat best defensive player. As well as bam is playing. Embiid absolutely destroys smaller center/forwards. So Miami has to play a ton of help defense butler is shooting career worst from 3. Herro is partying too much. They are a mess. They will say heat was injured/Covid earlier in the season. But they been relatively healthy the past 2.5 months and still losing games.

There's only one team that's clearly better than us (in the NBA) and that's the Nets.

All will depend on how healthy they are in the play-offs.

I'm not afraid of the Bucks, they're big 3 matches-up with ours (nearly) but our supporting cast and bench is much better.

Ben’s offense is just embarrassing.
An absolute liability on the offensive end.

He used to be scared to shoot. Now he’s scared to go to the rim on top of that.

As has been the issue in past games, if Ben and Tobias isn’t scoring, someone has to help Embiid on that front. Curry saved the game, but he’s hardly a guy that is creating offense.

Shake didn’t take enough shots or get enough time, Hill was quiet, and Furk was atrocious. It was a hard fought win because we played a team full of creators who was missing their best two (DeRozan and Murray). They are the absolute opposite of our team.

Tobias , since the injury, is playing well below we were used to see. Ben is ben: A great defensive player but a negative ofensive player. In the offseason we gotta trade one of them for a bonafide backcourt scorer. We will be exposed again on the playoffs.
