AD/Drummond pick and rolls? Alright, then. Anything is better than Drummond post ups.

The only hope is that Vogel is showing his players how **** and useless Drummond is (zero rebounds tonight btw, the one thing he’s good at)

letskissbro wrote:Send THT back to the g-league

If Schroeder and James are available, THT should get zero playoff minutes. Now with Schroeder missing basically the rest of the season, there’s no way to get him to gel with the Drummond project. Hopefully they just go to Gasol/AD/James/KCP/Caruso though the Gasol AD/James/KCP/Schröder was the best starting lineup in the NBA and one of the if not THE best starting lineup of James’ career. Gasol +18 in the last 10 minutes of game action

donnieme wrote:I don't know if AD always has to face backlash to play aggressive but boy he's been aggressive tonight

Was a common refrain held against him—he had the wettest midrange shot ever last playoffs, but he’ll need to be more aggressive going towards the rim and kicking out to wide open shooters and making his FTs like last season.

God they look so much better with Gasol. All Vogel is gonna look at is his points and rebounds though and keep him on the bench. I hope he goes off during this stretch so he can get some minutes

I really hope Schroder and Drummond walk in the offseason. A starting lineup of Caruso/KCP/LeBron/AD/Gasol would be absolutely dominant

Got horny seeing Gasol take off the warmups. Will pop a robust tempranillo for the occasion.

Also, don’t think it’s Vogel—it’s probably the players who are thinking like YouTube posters about Drummond’s aLLsTaR ReBoUnDs. Imagine benching a guy who’s superior defensively AND allows you to play 5 out or run LBJ/AD pick and roll without clogging up the middle.

Here’s what ridiculous about this season: Lakers have only played 78 minutes all season with AD/LBJ and three wings/guards, i.e., their presumptive playoff closing lineup. In these 78 minutes, they’ve posted a 117.9 ORtg, 98.7 DRtg, +19.2 NET. It’s like they make games harder on themselves for no reason.

Not sure about some of these Caruso passes.

Drummond is shockingly bad at finishing around the rim.

Drummond is a good guy. He knew he was sucking so picked up that foul to make his benching easier. I approve.

Seriously I like the guy but you gotta bench him when he's a liability.

This is the force that’s been missing. AD is really playing like a different player tonight than he has pretty much all year

Gasol does not deserve to be benched. If Vogel is giving out minutes based on performance, Gasol deserves minutes.

Ever since Drummond signed, he's been playing really good honestly. Hope he keeps it up

He moved him ahead of Trez. +24 in 16 minutes the last two games.

Meanwhile, Drummond has 0 rebounds and has allowed a bunch of offensive rebounds—literally useless.

Will this finally end this Drummond as a key piece experiment? He needs to be used sparingly based on matchups. Not be the 3rd option on this team.
