That would be brilliant.

I just don't see the league going along with this. The NBA loves having LAL in the playoffs. If they can get both LAL and Boston into the finals, they wet themselves.

Nah, homie. LAL v NYK is what they're after. Otherwise BKN or CHI. Several years from now maybe ATL gets on that short list.

Was this our one good game that year? I think I enjoyed the Brown & Beasley show more than watching Hedo, Warrick and Childress get paid to don our unis. Nothing worse than a decline into mediocrity without even the prospect of young talent to dream about.

You always end an era with a bang, one way or another. Go all in on a crazy, far-fetched, last-ditch attempt, or sell everyone immediately and lose every game and throw a bunch of kids out there to have fun. The Rox and Thunder are doing it right.

Speaking of the west's worst teams, Minnesota is going to be a problem in a few years. I was wrong, wrong, wrong about Anthony Edwards. That kid can ball. Wonder what direction they'll go in the draft... could be scary.

That's IF they get their pick.
I hope they do because I think they'll be better next year.
They should just take BPA.

Well, when you've coached as an assistant under Earl Watson...though it sounds like he kind of had the opposite approach.

I think the Hornacek hire was good and he got so much out of what was supposed to be a tanking team. But when you sign a 3rd starting level PG and then replace Dragic with Knight and get rid of Frye who was money working with Dragic, you are not going to do much. Got rid of Plumlee too who wasn't great but he was a part of that team. Can't even remember about Green. Is that when he brought in Marcus Morris too? And gave them that silly combined contract?

Then Tyson Chandler huge contract just to lure Aldridge. I would say if we would have just been bad from the beginning Hornacek wouldn't have had high expectations immediately after a year and he could grow into the job, but of course we later got to see how good McD was with high picks (and player relations).

Just imagine if we were so bad his first year we get Embiid (though he'd probably pass on him because of Len) but if we did get Embiid, and then with him out for a few years, remain bad and instead of Ayton get Luka that would be a pretty nice combo.

I don't think so given his reputation around the league. If TJ felt that way about him from his time in Phx you can be sure other players did too....that link and article posted earlier mentioned people talking about him from around the league.

It's pretty crazy to think that a player had such a bad experience with a coach that he would straight up refuse to play for him even though he was such a big part of the bubble team and a big part of that team going into the season. I mean, it says a lot about a coach. A bit like how nobody liked Jim Boylen

Say what we want about Earl Watson but at least the players seem to like him even though he's a hot trash as a coach.

TJ has had past problems with his feet so in fairness to him it was probably best to get it fixed up right regardless of the coach. It is a little odd they wouldn't have at least asked his opinion of Nate having played for him, not that Indi should have based it's decision soley on that but youd think they would do as much due diligence as they could.

All I can say is I'm happy to have Monty. He's a guy who seems really well liked by pretty much every person who's been around him. Jevon Carter was on a pod this past summer and was talking about how Monty's like no other coach he's ever had, praised him for how he's willing to listen to players ideas on strategy and how motivational he is.

TJ Warren was the problem and stubborn punk! Nobody wanted to acknowledge it but Booker wanted him out.

and people say we didn't win that trade! Got rid of a silent headcase

And Beal missed the entire overtime due to injury. He could've dropped close to Tatums 60 point game.
