Semi OT: Dame upset...only team with no fans

Post#1 » by refshateRaps » Wed May 5, 2021 3:06 am

Read on Twitter

I agree with Lillard its unfair given the others teams will have fans

But this tweet really hit me hard since here in TO we for real can't even play ball with friends in a park & dont even have team anymore :banghead:

Imagine if he had to play the entire season in another country, thousands of miles away from the best fans in the NBA

I always wonder how long Dame will be able to last in Portland ?

For the most part, finishing mid to lower playoff seed, early round exits. No true star to be partnered with.

They paid him. The market is not out of this world when it comes to attracting free agents. He will be there as long as he wants to be there in my opinion

At least we have 1 smart team in the league. With SARS-COV-2 there is no safe distance indoors.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.
The bad thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

Agreed it's pretty stupid that other teams are letting fans in. Florida 4,000+ new cases a day. Michigan 3,000+. Most other NBA markets 2,000+ new cases a day right now.

If you're scared stay home. I would gladly go to a game and take the chance that my young healthy body would be fine if I got covid.
I mean 99.95% chance of being nothing more than a sniffle.

99.95% for you or for entire population? Let's say its for entire population. If everyone got Covid in the US, that means only 170,000 people would have more than the sniffles. Given that nearly 600,000 are dead I think your stat has some major issues.

But let's assume its only for young healthy people. We know FVV got hammered good -- we know a number of hockey players on the Canucks got really sick as well. And there have been multiple other. Did they recover -- sure. But to state that only 0.05% of younger people get more than a sniffle is far from accurate as well.

I am fine with slowly moving forward with crowds of 1-4K at games, and want healthier people start to move on but in a responsible fashion given that they can still be givers. That being said I have no time for full of **** statistics.

The Raptors have been the only "away" NBA team for the entire season. Boo Hoo. Athletes are creatures of habit, the Raptors had to adjust being away from their homes, beds, comfort food, and daily routines that they have grown accustomed to.

You've exposed your ignorance by reducing this down to mortality
