Looks like the Lakers are going to win today vs PHX. So with 4 games left, if LA goes 3-1, Portland needs to go 2-2. Which means Portland would need to beat at least one of UTA, PHX, or DEN.

If Blazers win 2 games, Lakers need 4-0 to take 6th seed. Blazers can put it out of Lakers reach with 3 wins, or fewer for every Laker loss.

I mean the only upside of the Lakers win is that it makes it far more likely Suns end up locked in #2 and a higher chance the Jazz and Suns rest players against us in a few games.

I don't see the Suns winning enough games to really put the heat on the Jazz about losing the top seed. Especially when the Jazz have an easier schedule for the remaining games.

Until seeding is finalized, I am not sure that getting the 6th seed is what we want. I really hate the idea of our three guard lineup matching with Kawhi/George. Give me peak Dame versus Paul, 12 fouls of Nurkić/Kanter against Jokic, or Nuggets without MPJ.

Even though we beat the Lakers head to head, it feels like we will be playing against them until the season ends. The Association and the Refs aren't going to help us in this regard. Know this! The Blazers will need to be very good every game, and stay locked in mentally. Playoffs have basically already started for us. Good news is, the Blazers control their fate, and they can afford to give up just one loss. Don't care who we face in the 1st round, but staying in 6th is crucial.

Also... Bron is set for a Tuesday return. Super curious to see how he moves on the court. That hit he took in the original injury was bad, and if my suspicions are correct, down-played big-time by the Bron camp. I think he will try to hide it, but show to be far from healthy and less than great, if challenged.

A splash of Giles, Jones Jr. and Little early, would be nice to see in tonight's game.

RIP CITY!!!

PDX favored by 14. When was the last time that happened?

I mean the Clippers aren't locked in that spot I could easily see the Nuggets flipping with them. Nuggets are only one game behind and they have the tie breaker over the Clippers.

Nice win. Was fun watching their 1st quarter. The Lakers game vs NY tomorrow may be a big one for how the seeding ends up.

Blazers record at home with 0 fans in the building a fairly unimpressive 16-16.
Blazers record at home with 10% occupancy of fans in the building 3-0.
Blazers are 8-2 over their last 10 taking care of business and really pushing the Mavs to win to keep their spot and holding onto that 6th spot.

It's rather sad to think about the historical performance last night, and yet it was a 5 point game in the 4th quarter. Still enjoyed it though. I never really felt like the game was in jeopardy.
