You do realize that the Israeli pro league is higher competition than NCAA, right?
Yet NBA teams all throughout the history of the game have had no problems with drafting kids out of college, putting them on NBA rosters and putting them into NBA games.
By your logic, every kid out of college should go from NCAA to the euroLeague before being able to play in the NBA
I am from Europe, so you do not have to tell me. But Israeli league is not a top league in Europe. I want him to got to eurolegaue club (or maybe to ACB to a team that plays in Eurocup) to play in much better competition.
Do not see us bringing him over next season with Kemba, Smart, Pritchard here, so he needs to go play at a higher level to improve. No point in staying at Hapoel, IMO.
According to this, Israeli is a top 5 league in Europe:

Smart is much better suited to the 2. Only reason he's played the 1 this season is because Kemba has missed so many games and because Pritchard is just a rookie and a liability on D so isn't able to play big mins.
Good chance that between Kemba and Smart, 1 of them (maybe both) get traded this offseason. Even if both remain, that's still only 1 true PG (Kemba since Smart is much better suited for the 2) as the only PG ahead of Madar. IMO Madar is just as good (possibly better) than Pritchard. Perhaps you bring Madar on slowly in the beginning with him as 3rd string PG and as the season goes along he could end up taking mins from Pritchard..
Or 1 more year overseas - this time in the EuroLeague could be a good option. We'll see.
I figure you've got nothing to lose by at least bringing him over, put him in the summer league this summer and see how he does..
