The W's may not get a 4, 5, or 6 pick now, but we could do a lot worse than dropping Oubre and picking up Davion Mitchell or Scottie Barnes.

With the emergence of JTA, do you think it's kind of made the Warriors' decision who to draft in the lottery should they go for a ready now player? Or do you think they still go for BPA?

Always BPA, obviously. Plus, you can adjust fit later, through trades, role definition, rotation minutes, etc.
Also, JTA is already 28... we shouldn't be basing ANY draft decisions through a 28-year old role player.
You don't avoid drafting Jordan just because you have Drexler on the roster. Unless you're Portland.

1b) Deni
Not interested in any other players in this draft. Edwards is very talented but I don’t think he matches the Warriors style of play at all.
Not to single any one out because I recall there was no consensus on this board, but out of these 3, Edwards may be the only star while Wiseman and Deni are headed for minimum salary or MLE at the most after their rookie deals.
Pat Williams has disappointed in Chicago, Devin Vassell was having a great season until he got injured.
Lamelo Ball won ROY but his teams have never won, though he puts up great individual stats and has shot a lot better than people expected.
Bane became an elite shooter, probably headed for a max extension after his rookie deal.
Haliburton is great, definitely all-star level.
We were too worried about trading down. If there's a great player, Warriors should have reached regardless of their pre-draft projections.
We never had a shot at Edwards as it turned out but he turned out to be a much better shooter, as Tyreese Maxey. Remember that Klutch showcase with him and Maxey shooting 3s?
Ball would not be a good fit here, regardless of his offensive prowess. Klay was injured so Ball might have started here for a couple of seasons but you don't let him hog the ball when Curry has been shooting so well the last couple of seasons.
Same to an extent with Ant. Great shotmaker and he can finish big time. But he's creating for himself mostly.
Haliburton, Maxie, Vassell would have been great with the Warriors. Also Okongwu and Jaden McDaniels, who's emerged this year as a high level 3 and D.
Warriors also drafted Nico Manion as #48 but Isaiah Joe was drafted #49, a over 40% 3-point shooter.
Beyond them Cole Anthony would have been nice but maybe Poole doesn't emerge splitting time with Anthony and despite all the haters, he contributed a lot to the championship last year.
Another good player is Quickley, drafted #25. Will win 6th man of the year and plays good defense.
Return to Golden State Warriors
